Just a guess, but would there have been medals given for participation in the Coronation? If ANYONE deserved a medal, he did! Not only was he a part of almost every part of the ceremony itself, but he also had to keep all the young lads in the family who had parts to play in the ceremony on their toes and out of trouble, which must have been like herding cats. I'd say he deserves a chestful of medals for managing all his duties that day without so much as a wrong step, at least none that we could see. He did one helluva job!

(ETA - Looks like great minds think alike :giggle: )

Coronation medal!

William wore the mini version on his lapel when attending the royal wedding in Jordan a few weeks ago!

From the UK government website:
“Everyone actively contributing and supporting the Coronation on 6 May - including choristers, police officers, military personnel and St John Ambulance personnel - as well as those directly involved in the delivery of the Coronation are eligible.

It will also be given to serving frontline members of the police, fire, emergency services, prison services and armed forces that have completed five full calendar years of service. It is expected that more than 400,000 Coronation Medals will be issued.”
