Why is the Daily Mail still referring to him as "Major"? He's been a Lieutenant Colonel for a while now, hasn't he? Although Google links are still referring to him as a Major.
Maybe someone familiar with British Army emblems of rank can take a look at recent photos taken in 2023? The Times referred to him as a Lieutenant Colonel in an article in December 2022.
