Just got separate shipping notifications for the Calcifer strap and small puzzle bag in rust. Just waiting for the wallet!
Ok breaking this into two parts.
Very similar experience waiting in line to @potatoagogo
Inside I did have an SA approach me and since my SA moved to Rodeo Dr, she gave me her card for future purposes. Really sweet and did try to look for the items I was looking for. Also met a few Ghibli fans and loved bonding with them!
Per @katawaredoki sage advice, I ran up to Saks and was able to score the Magic Sky coin cardholder!!! And then I caved and bought the black Calcifer mini puzzle bag with the rhinestones. That is 3 puzzle bags in 1 week. I am officially on Ban Island. Lots of pics so enjoy!

Just got back from the NYC store. I got in line around 8:30 and they opened at 9. I got into the store around 9:15. There were maybe 15 people ahead of me—the people at the very front had camping chairs and pillows. Don't know when they arrived.
I really wanted the turnip head charm / pin but they were already sold out. One SA said they thought the store only received a couple; another said they just got one. I heard multiple SAs telling clients "this is the last one" about different RTW pieces and leather goods.
Got this—super cute and the leather work is beautiful. Came in special Howl bag and wrapping paper with a tiny booklet.
Favorite piece was the black mini Flamenco with raffia feathers.

All I ordered was the one item I wanted, the drawstring pouch with the castle on it (going to be cute in my basket bag), on the pre-launch day a few hours after it went live. It went out of stock saying I should sign up for restock notification and so I did. I was able to add to cart a few hours later and bought it. Still no confirmation email in sight! This morning I got a "your item is back in stock" email though lol! Now the item just says "not available" and my order says "in prep".
Thankfully I bought the pouch off Saks' website just in case and it has already shipped! I am in the US btw.

I ordered a dice pouch off Saks, plus the howls' strap and the castle in the sky coin cardholder. My two dice pouches (duplicates because I panicked when the website was fixed) did not ship yet from Loewe so I got one from Saks just in case.

Jealous of everyone who's getting the cow bag, please post mod shots! Unfortunately I know that in my household it would be doomed to become the world's most expensive dog toy as soon as I turned my back haha, I can't take that heart break 
Late to the discussion about standout pieces from the previous collections, and while I agree that the Chihiro/Haku Amazona was to die for (the colors!), I'll also throw in a vote for the Boro Puzzle which was very unique and gorgeously constructed. I'm not usually a fabric bag person but the embroidery and craftsmanship was on another level imo.

Depends what you are looking for, but they did have almost everything at 9am. Now, not so sure. They are doing this rather strange thing, where you can put a deposit down and pre-order any of the items. I saw some people do that for the Magic Sky hammock bag and the Sophie/Howl Amazona bag.
Also bags and SLG are first floor and RTW is second floor.

Thanks, but i'll let others enjoy the hunt for a cow, will just grab a cow charm if/when those show back from returns. My online order was updated with a shipped calcifer nugget, the accessories (tiger charm, heen cardholder, flying heen and turnip coin card wallet) are still marching towards an inevitable cancellation lol
There's quite a few items in the online Saks' page that are pre order for delivery early March, so there must be a second wave of stock coming up
