So we went to Casa Loewe Tokyo and… oh dear. Quite a bit of RTW was available - I even tried on the Heen sweater and it looked AMAZING but was prickly as heck!!! They had a purchase limit of five collab items per person but dice were not counted towards this purchase limit so we BOUGHT THEM ALL (haha - what’s remaining anyway).

My partner tried on the shearling flamenco and decided he wanted to get it (against my advice!!) so we ended up with quite a number of purchases. It’s really much cheaper in Japan vs Singapore - the tees converted to S$600 vs S$850 for example, as we were able to get the items duty free. My partner felt guilty about “betraying” our SA back home but… I felt it wasn’t like we haven’t given her business for this launch already.

Can‘t wait to see what you both got!

The heen sweater really is gorgeous on you! Too bad it is prickly… Is it like the shawls? I got the Spirited Away Shawl with the duck and it looks supersoft, but also is prickly…

Did anyone get the special packaging, notebook, stickers, paper bags etc. at the Sydney store today? I got just a plain bag with a calcifer tag but I’m starting to think if I missed out on the special packaging and they just didn’t give me any sadly…:(

Omg the Heen sweater is amazing. I hope it went home with you - it looked fantastic

I’ve had a couple hours to think about it and maybe I’ll edit later once I’ve slept but the Rodeo Dr boutique midnight shopping experience was a total amateur hour that may actually be worse than the online IT.

Somehow they hadn’t programmed the system to permit them to do transactions since it was after hours, that took a solid forty minutes to fix; maybe something that should have been tested for?

We were told to scramble and grab whatever we were intending to buy so it was a weird polite but also aggressive free for all? People loaded bags into their SAs arms so that you couldn’t even see what was available or may have had additional stock in the back.

There was only one cow bag that they were protecting in the back (btw anyone doing the LA line up later today there’s only one cow bag) because an SA had been doing shenanigans of pre-selling items ahead of time. So it sounded like they were holding back random items for the regular launch day.

The first transaction that was going through took some crazy amount of time to actually process and despite the arrival around 11.40pm it took two hours to finally get out of there. Their point of sale system only had two checkout points which was entirely incapable of handling the fact that multiple people had items without sku tags and bogged down by inquiries on missing items (because they’re in some other SAs hand) and the register person having to try to find the sku.

There was weird feast and famine availability of SAs too bc one SA would run the POS system, another fed SKUs and then the need to package was another employee or two. I’m not sure I saw any of the special packaging beyond the shop bag itself. Def saw no notebooks.

All totaled I spent seven hours at the movie event and boutique to be denied a cow based on shenanigans and walk away two cardholders and two charms. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…… not.

Just special bag instore, I think the other stuff is for online orders.
Ohh I see. It’s a shame they seem to be inconsistent with their special packaging especially on launch day purchases (I was one of the first in line actually) you’d think everyone would’ve gotten the same packaging. Not a deal breaker haha but just annoying to know, maybe because I didn’t make a big purchase and only bought a smaller item so I don’t get any special packaging…but still strange lol they definitely need to work on this aspect of their customer service haha

You HAVE to take a photo of the Chihiro underwater blanket!!!!

On the "piece this year," the moving castle bag is insane and I don't even know what one would do with it except put it on a shelf as a museum piece. Please someone take lots of photos :P

On the "more realistic piece this year," did they at least make more inventory of the black and light blue amazona this year?!? at least saw more spread across more online sites

What about the cape or the feather sweater? Has anyone seen those in person??
I have the photos of the blacker from last year thread’ https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/loewe-x-spirited-away.1048642/post-3502490

I ordered the blue amazona but in retrospective it would have been easier if I had bought it when it was on Vistiare Collective.

Ah man that sounds like a nightmare experience…I feel the Loewe stores in Asia (especially Japan) have the best shopping experience from what I’ve seen on social media so far. Each purchase seems to get their own special bag, tag, notebook and I think I even saw stickers? Also seems to be no discrimination/selective packaging depending on what you bought lol. Ahh I wish I was in Japan!
