Hi guys, I was so happy with my Loewe Puzzle bag buy on eBay, but now I'm thinking I purchased a fake. It came with the receipt but that can of course also have been faked. Have you seen the Made in Spain look like this? There's no space between the words. It's Loewe Puzzle medium supposedly from 2021. Hope you can help me out!

I’m attaching photos of my puzzle bags, which I bought directly from Nordstroms and NM. The tan is a medium purchased in 2019 and the Atlantic Blue is from 2021. It looks like the spaces are a bit larger between the words Made In Spain.

Lillianlm, thank you very much for your fast reply.
You are right, it does look like there's a larger space. Mine must be fake then.
Some lovely colours you have chosen, I need the tan coloured one in my life (an authentic version that is...)

Hello ladies. I just got this bag and want to authenticate with Legitgrails but when the system asked me to upload the serial number, I just couldnt seem to find it?! Where is it in the bag exactly.

This seller said he got this bag in late 2022. Could it be possible that there is no serial number on these newer models anymore? Here are the pics. Would love to hear your opinion whether this deemed to be authentic or not. Thanks so much in advance!

The feel of the leather is right to me and stitching looks great.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they still have serial numbers, just a bit more hidden than before, directly on the leather inside
Here's a picture from my mini puzzle, which is a never model.

Wow thank you SO much!!!!! Because of your kind help I finally found it hidden on the leather inside! Mine is black and super hard to see.

Does anyone own one of the newer monochrome satin calfskin puzzle (mini) to verify where code should be. The code on my mini is under the the little flap on the zipper. I can’t find any examples of this one. Thank you!

Has anyone here had experience with sending an item directly to Loewe for an authenticity check? I spoke to my SA who said this was possible but we weren't sure what they would do with an item if it was proved to be counterfeit. (I'd only want to get the item returned back to me so that I could raise this issue with the vendor I purchased the item from and receive a refund.)

Hi everyone and thank you so much for this forum! I have been a lurker since HMC collab started and decided that I want something from Spirited Away too… I purchased Bo puzzle from VC, as I thought their authentication process is trusted, so upon look with my inexperience and compare with my caramel puzzle I was satisfied and cut off their tag. I did notice that right after my purchase there was a new listing of the same bag from another seller. Today I was just browsing and read through this thread and saw how fake puzzles have same serial numbers, that new listing had a picture of serial code and I went to check on mine and found that it’s identical! I felt sick to my stomach as I have been using the bag and it’s been about a month. I contacted VC and their response was that it is approved to send it back to them for another look, they didn’t even ask for a picture… I am so confused as it has marquetry, the glazing, stitching look legit and it feels nice to touch, however I do not have anything in their classic calf skin, my other puzzle is in grained leather.

If that’s a possibility and it is proved a fake, I don’t believe you’ll need an item to request a refund. I wonder if Loewe can create a report or something saying that it is in fact counterfeit. I am curious to know due to my current situation in case VC says it’s legit again…

I’m surprised that Loewe will conduct an authenticity check because generally brands won’t do that. Never heard that it is possible but I think it’s quite likely the item would not be returned to you.

There could be a few reasons the second listing has an identical serial number Eg the other seller is using the first listing’s photo of the serial number and so on. VC isn’t perfect at catching fakes though so if they are agreeable to taking a second look I would think it’s not a bad idea to do so. Alternatively you can try Legitgrails which can deliver results in 2 days or less.

I just received Legitgrails results and they said it is authentic. The listing of my bag didn’t have a photo of the serial number… the pictures also look different that’s why I didn’t think of it when I first saw it right after I placed the order.. VC did offer to send it back to take another look, but now I’m not sure since Legitgrails said it’s authentic. I feel paranoid now that I got super fake. The engraving on the hardware seem off to me: the Boh puzzle has it deeper than my Caramel one. Also it seems that serial number on Boh puzzle is not straight, I’m not sure if I can include the picture of the serial number here, but attaching comparison in hardware. You can request a re-assessment and even show them these comparison photos. Legit Grails isn't immune to mistakes, I'd offer to re-submit photos and ask them to do another review.

I would honestly love to believe that I could receive a full refund if I don't receive my item back from Loewe because it's counterfeit. But...I am doubtful if I'll get a return if I'm also empty-handed lol. I hope your Bo bag is real! Also, serial numbers for Loewe work a little differently from what I understand from my SA. You can message me separately if you're curious to learn more. I'd rather not post specifics to help protect the integrity of their processes since counterfeits are a dime a dozen these days. :crybaby:

I was very surprised too as I thought the same as you. But my SA lmk this was possible (maybe there are specific requirements?) so I'll have to speak with them again about this to measure out the pros/cons of this process.
