I think the passport is to make sure that
1- they have your purchase history in France ready
2- you cannot transfer your spot to someone else

They don't ask for your nationality.
- Passport number is to make sure you only make one appointment per passport.
- The passport must be presented to make sure there's no swapping.
- They use it to track how many appointments you have made or how many times you've not been selected. Apparently your chances are higher if you've been rejected a few times (as per the hostess)

they cannot know your nationality but passport numbers/codes do indicate the country. i suppose it's easy enough to guess though... for example, a Chinese passport with a Chinese surname... they're likely going to be Chinese
Is it just me or has it been really difficult to get an appointment... The store said even to exchange a bag I need an appointment. I have tried on consecutive days to get one to exchange a bag purchased, but no luck. Not sure if I can even exchange it at all.
Somehow I prefer the old system where at least I can try to wake up early and getting an appointment is more in my control than now is more down to luck.

So you have decided to go back to Paris I followed your day if you get an app please post in the Paris forum I will follow again to see how you get on good luck with an app I want to go in October
Hi darling, yes I have decided to go back to Paris. I tried London boutiques, they said I can exchange/ return there as well, however no bag was available. So if I were to exchange or get store credit it might be safer to get FSH store credit instead. However i has not been successful at getting another appointment for this exchange.
Yes, unfortunately. What I don't like about this system is that it is really out of our control. If you are only in Paris for a couple of days but have no appointment luck during those days, it means no appointment at all. Whereas in the past we could try to wake up early...
When I decide to go I will get an app first then book flight for next day and stay a few days if I only get one app at least I had a try yes I would of preferred to just que Keep us posted
