This is probably the most active thread - but for some reaons, the Lanvin devotees are just that - passionate about the brand. But there aren't enough of them.

Goyard didn't get a forum until a couple of months ago.
Judith Leiber, Kieselstien-Cord, Celine and and other premier designers have soem interest - but just don't have enough to keep a forum alive. But the conversations are fun when they are on the main board.
And - you get an opportunity to share your love of a brand with a wider range of future afficianados.

Hi Vintage Leather,

Thank you for your thoughtful reply, which helps me to understand.
[I saw all the posts for all the downscale brands and really didn't get it.]

There is an incredible amount of breathtaking design development going
on at Lanvin, and it's getting lots of traction.
[Lanvin is even giving Chanel a run for its money!
NOT to infuriate Chanel apassionatas, in any way!!!]

Ergo, this seemed like a great place to give those who love Lanvin some voice.

So, as a devotee, what should I do?
• Actively post relevant information, comments, photographs, and questions?
• Encourage other Lanvin collectionneurs passionnés to do the same?

Thank you!

^^ I vote for the Happy :)

I have one in gold metallic and couldn't love it more. It's smallish but still fits all my essentials with room for more and can be worn single strap as well for a different look.

I've tried on the Amalia and found it a bit east/west for me though it is a gorgeous bag too. Good luck deciding. Let us know what you get.

Get the Amalia! I have an ulterior motive -- I have been eyeing off this bag for awhile and would love to see some modelling shots :)

Please post pics if anyone has this bag!

(well I might just be talking to myself here :D ),
I got the bag above, it was so gorgeous, but when I put my things in it, it slouched so drastically that it really didn't work for me. I could tell that I would have to constantly balance everything inside to keep the slouch even, and it was hard to clasp and unclasp since the handles come from the top flap.
So I am trying this bag next:

any opinions on this one?
Any Amalia tote lovers out there?
is this bag huge?

I have the Amalia tote too. It's lovely. Quite roomy, but doesn't feel bulky at all because it's so soft and slouchy. It has no structure at all (do not let the stock pictures deceive you) except for its four bottom corners, which give it a little more form than the pompom bag. Feels like you're hugging a bundle of soft, pillowy leather every time you carry it. The lambskin feels very delicate but wears well.

BUT. The one thing that bugs me about the bag is it's a little fiddly to get in and out of. The bag doesn't open when you "open" the handles, because the chain straps go through the bag rather than being attached to either side of the bag, if you know what I mean. So it takes a fair bit of fiddling to get the actual bag open, or to get to something that's inside your bag (on the flip side, this means whatever is inside your bag is quite secure, there's little danger of stuff falling out or having things stolen out of your bag ). But I'm learning to live with it ;)

Here're some pics because stock pics of this bag do it no justice at all :D
