Lets talk Lanvin

I almost don’t want to post this, because I find some great deals on Lanvin bags and don’t want that to change, but are there any other fans of the brand’s bags? I just got the Concerto and am in love. I was thinking about a Celine Box or Valextra Iside and think the Concerto is similar in aesthetic and quality but a fraction of the price. It has a back slip pocket, interesting but minimalistic hardware, good capacity for day to night wear, beautiful leather, and a great mechanism for adjusting the bag from shoulder to crossbody wear—no sloppy hole adjustments. All in all, it is an excellent and beautiful design.

Here’s my little Lanvin family. I have a bicolor Jiji (my oldest), small Hook bags in Earth and Black with matching belts in both colors (I love pairing these), and of course my brand new Concerto.

I think there were one or two threads a little bit ago; I had wanted to see the pencil cat bag in person but both times I went to a boutique they were closed. It was mid afternoon so I was surprised.
That's odd and unfortunate. I think the pencil cat is a beautiful and very artistic design.--I'd love to have one IMHO, Lanvin is just under appreciated; the bags are top notch.

I’ve always been intrigued by Lanvin because I think Jeanne Lanvin sounds like such an interesting and feminine person and I love the mother and child symbol.

I think they’ve been in development hell for at least a decade with creative directors changing in under 2 years. I do find the website and prices and stuff changes a lot too.

I keep looking at the rebooted sugar in the pillow like style though and it’s got that adorable little symbol on it too.

Interesting, I have to confess I don't really know much about Jeanne Lanvin or the frequent changes; I just really like the aesthetic of some of the bags and have found them to be excellent quality. I'm going to go learn more now!

This is me %100. I'm obsessed with Lanvin but do not want to advertise the brand with the fear that if the brand gets too popular I will not be able to find such great prices and bags in excellent condition. lol In my humble opinion the quality is on par with Celine. :happydance:

I have loved Lanvin from back in the early days…think I bought my first one the same time or maybe before my celine luggage with the envelope back in 2006 or 07. I still have one of the older bags…still carry, and still a favorite because no one knows what it is. I was so happy to see this post. Have not been on as much as before but this was cool to see.
