Isn't it funny how many of us former die-hard Bal gals (tooshies, CeeJay, silverfern, danae, and I) have turned to Lanvin?

ok ladies - finally got around to taking some (not-great-quality) pics. please excuse the mess in the background, we're preparing for a big move in addition to a new baby.

introducing my lanvin black happy shoulder bag! i can't wait for her to slouch a little more after taking her out for a spin - i haven't even removed the tags or the tissue wrapping around the medallion!

That's my plan too *BHmommy* ... whittle down the Bal collection! I will keep the "oldies" but the new ones ... bye, bye!!

CeeJay- i have long admired your wonderful Bal "oldies" collection, as well as your awesome Boobie collection! i only have one Boobie in 05 apple green and love it to death.

i cycled through several oldies (03 lilac PH city, 05 rouge theatre city, 05 apple green city, plus a couple others) but then ended up deciding that i liked the way they looked on others, and not on me so much. i ended up keeping the Bbags that i use most often, and to my surprise, 3 out of the 7 bags are from '07 and GH! i now love each Bbag in my current collection equally (can't imagine selling any more, but ya never know), and i've managed to pare it down to a good mix of styles and colors that are most functional for me and just... make me happy.

well, enough about Bbags, since this *is* the Lanvin thread after all...

Straight-Laced: The umbrella is so cute and whimsical I love it, though I'm not a huge fan of the quality of it....I love it regardless
Are you getting the large umbrella?? Me too, I hate wet weather as well, which is why I need my super cute rain-gear....I have Lanvin polyester coats/trenches in various thickness and styles for both spring/fall and winter, so when it's wet and gray outside, at least something will put a smile on my face

pursemania: You're welcome! Neither can I, I always inquire the weight before purchase, if I'm buying online, my cap is 2lbs. My SS08 Partage is really heavy too, but since it's a workhorse that I abuse with heavy books inside, it's OK. I guess super sturdiness goes hand in hand with heaviness.

dramakitten: Yes, the Lanvin bags always come with a medallion except for the vintage pre05 bags. Some 04 bags come with one, but some don't. I have one that does, one that doesn't from 04. The style of medallion has changed over the years, they used not be detachable.
Sometimes if you buy them off ebay, they don't come with one...or if it's a store-display, sometimes it has been misplaced. But originally, they always come with one. Hope this helps!

Here's my Amalia next to my galet Work, I'd say they are pretty similar in size.
My next Lanvin purchase will be a Happy flap, I love them. I'm not that educated on them, do they only come in just the one size?
I haven't worn my other Lanvin, the mustard satin Happy Mini Pop, yet. I can't wait, it's too cute.
And I'm crazy for the dustbags, they are so lovely!

Thanks for posting your Amalia tote Danae! She's so gorgeous. I instantly fell in love with this bag when I popped into Lanvin Singapore last week and haven't stopped thinking about it since.

I love Lanvin! I only have one black leather tote with chain shoulder straps that I was lucky enough to get on sale one year at Nordstrom's! I couldn't believe it was sitting there on the table...as if people didn't know what kind of treasure it was!!! I will try to post pictures later. Love this thread so much!

i didn't realize there was a thread about Lanvin! i have one bag from them that i love, and am always interested to see more of their styles. i got mine through the crazy Saks sale a couple years ago for a really good price- i totally lucked out.

^^omg courty, that is one GORGEOUS happy!! i LOVE LOVE LOVE the texture on it. i recently purchased a wrinkled lambskin happy on the *bay after returning the current-season smooth leather happy. yours is TDF!

there is also a lanvin handbag thread floating around in this subforum, and many Bal ladies are on there as well (if my memory serves me correctly, i recognize your name from the Bal subforum?).
