Hello! I, too, have the Amalia tote in black lambskin. It looks great with EVERYTHING from work attire to jeans. However, it is a bit of a pain to access. I now use a YSL large makeup bag inside of the Amalia so I can more easily find things, since this bag holds so much. The typical photos of these bags (net-a-porter, bergdorf, etc.) seem to show the bag stuffed with something boxy, but the bag is very slouchy in real life. One really nice benefit is the chain handle. It can be worn long or short, which makes it a little easier to use.

those squishy corners are so yummy. I'm so glad to hear that it doesn't look like a giant block as in the NAP modeling photos
nycmom - your bag looks like it is really nice, I'd LOVE to see your pictures - I save my photo time for the weekdays for the same reason

I don't have the Hero bag, but I do have the stitched pise bag (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260614080773&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT) which I bought on ebay (from someone else) a while ago. I LOVE IT. It's really funky with the tassel, and it also has the charm, but is a great size between too small and too big. I've been eyeing the hero bags as potentially another one I like - but this was just so different I couldn't resist!

I bought and returned the cream Amalia. It's sooooo pretty, but the dusky cream colour, though very very beautiful, is a dirt magnet and the leather is ever so slightly textured, which can trap dirt and dye transfer - I did not dare take it out and it went straight back to the store! I also found the chain straps a wee bit clunky on the Amalia (they are less so on the Happy for some reason). But if you're quite careful with your bags, then the cream is really gorgeous.

FWIW, the Happy seems to be an easier-to-wear style. The Amalia is more structured.

Ooh, I found a picture of a bag in the same style as my Lanvin - oh, but it's black snakeskin...GORGEOUS!!!

I'm such a Lanvin convert now. These bags are all so pretty and the leather is soooo soft!
