Pretty! I have a dear friend that always carries a vintage black collegiate bag that she bought in 1989 before her daughter was born. She loves that bag and it has held up well over the years of constant use.

I wanted to "expand her horizons" so I gave her this beautiful British Tan City Bag that I bought second hand for $7 at the thrift store and rehabbed. She loved it and carried it for awhile but then she was back to her old faithful black colleagiate bag.

She told me that her adult daughter loved the BT City Bag as soon as she saw it and borrowed it. She wears it all the time and won't give it back! I was a little annoyed because I wanted my friend to have it, but now I am okay with it because my friend told me:

"I know that my daughter shouldn't have taken it when she knew it was a special gift from my friend; but I let her have it because I was rather pleased that she wanted to wear anything out of my closet!" :D

that bag is GORGEOUS!! your rehab posts always makes me want to do my own version but i dont have the patience to go through with it. I love how rich the leather looks like when you're done with a project!! kudos to you and your rehabbing abilities

Ah that is just beautiful! Now that's the Coach I remember and fell in love with! It makes me remember when Coach bags came with the post card that you had to mail in to register the bag!

Thank you, you are very kind; but the bag was in pretty good shape when I found it and it was an easy rehab; you can see before and after pics at the link below.

My first bag was a Coach Dinky (now the Penny) in the dark green (hunter or forest?) with the British Tan trim, back in 1988. I was a freshman in high school.

I've come by my love for Coach honestly through my mom and grandmother. :-) I remember many trips to the Coach store with my grandmother when she was living. <3 This was the first of many more.

My first was this one (pics from an auction, not mine!) I sold the bag last summer, because it was just too small for me now. Back then, I carried a tiny wallet, a tiny flip phone, and not much else! I bought it as a present to myself for graduating college. I had dropped out of college the first time around, and I always felt bad about not finishing. I kept comparing myself against my younger half-siblings, who had advanced degrees and seemed so stylish with their Coach bags.

Sorry for the crappy phone picture

First Coach bag ever--eBay purchase (b/c I didn't know any better): Soho flap in red leather (like this one NMA http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-COACH-S...937?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item4abfdf81e1)

First delete purchase--at the outlet (eventually I figured out how it all works, LOL): Hamptons patchwork (like this one NMA http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-12479...358?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item2a387450ae). It was actually still on the FP website when I bought it. At the outlet. For like 70% off, LOL.

heres was my first COACH! i had been working my first legit full time job and one of the girls at work had the holiday patchwork tote and i LOOOVED it! it was so cool and she always looked so cute with her outfits! at the time my purses consisted of a HK purse my brother in law got me for xmas from HOT TOPIC :laugh: i went to TJ MAXX and i saw this bag! i was like "woooooah TJ MAXX has Coach bags?!?!"......there was no FP store around me and i didn't know that Coach had outlets or about this forum! i remember debating on buying it b/c it was pretty pricey. I called my hubby (which was just my bf at the time) to ask if i should get it....LOL i even called HIS mom!! i didn't have any bills and so i treated myself to it!! i got home and explained to everyone how excited i was to have my FIRST Coach that i paid for by myself and that i wouldn't need another purse for a looooooooooooooong time.........PSHHHH fast forward to now where i have a full shelf in my closet of just bags LOL oh how time flies.

****i added a picture of the Coach bag the girl at my job had that i WANTED SOOOOOO BADLY!! and that started my COACH OBSESSION **
I always loved this blue signature pattern. It is such a cute purse. I have her sister in the satchel.
