My first Coach purse was this baby here, my avatar ---

And I told my mother after getting this girl and the three MFF leather duffles (black, brown, and silver) I would never need another purse.:rofl::lolots::rofl::lolots:

But my first Coach items back in the day was the silver/gold lurex kisslock coin purse. Late 90's or early 00's. My mom had bought it for me as a special present at the PX. $40 for a coin purse was VERY extravagant at that time. I still hope it is packed up somewhere I haven't looked yet, but I've been trying to replace it for years.

Later, I got my sister and I green siggy kisslock coin purses that had a light strip of leather up the front at an outlet off 95. The green was so pretty. We both still have ours, this would have been mid-00's.

But the graphite/pink Candace - yep, all her fault! Went from a regular rotation of two purses and a messenger bag to 30+ purses in two years, all but one are Coach.

(I also have small collections of kisslock coin purses and legacy wristlets.)

I love hearing these stories :). I giggled when I came to the 30+ purses in 2 years.... I'm on my way.... LOL

Here are my first Coach bags. The Willis was the original, followed by the backpack. They survived my college years and my first child, milk spills and all! I think they must have been very early 1990's? Hubby says I had the Willis when we were dating (88 to 92) and the backpack after we married but before first kid (92 to 97). How's that for dating an object by events....hehe..... Coach was less expensive then as I recall! :D

Wow, they look great... Love that you dated your bags by events... Such rich associations :)

I don't even know what this bag was called. This must have been 93 or 94. Can you tell from the baggy sweatshirt, leggings and big socks? My Junior or Senior year of college. Those boys ( my nephews) have children that are 3 and 5. Good Lord I am old!! LOL.

This is the purse that started it all. My first Coach, Holiday patchwork tote, 2006.

I had a patchwork hobo similar to this. I would have to say when this style came out, my Coach shopping really kicked into a different gear. I have long since given that bag away, but man I loved the patchwork. :-)

I had the Willis for years and I still think it is my all-time favorite Coach bag. I used that thing for YEARS!! I have no idea what I ever did with it. That was back in the day when I actually carried one bag for three or four years. Gasp!!!

This is my first coach purse. I still have it & will never sell it! My grandma bought it for me in the summer of 2005 :) I've never carried any other brand but coach since then.

I ADORED this bag. I didn't buy it because we bought a new house that year and I was pregnant with my second, but the Coach store was next to Motherhood Maternity and I distinctly remember coveting this bag!

Unfortunately I can't remember my first Coach bag. It was one of the all leather classics. When I got back into Coach a few years ago, I was trying to prove to my daughter that there was no reason to spend $400 on a Coach so I bought this one on ebay for $50. Over a year later, I made my first outlet purchase and almost a year after that, I made my first PCE purchase. It's been a wild ride since then!
Cool bag... it reminds me of some of the fall bags that will be coming out- tassels and braids. I am excited.

This is my first coach bag that I bought myself. I got it at an outlet. At the time the only outlet was a few hours away. I got this when I went with a bunch of friends on a girls trip. I didn't go really crazy until they opened up an outlet less then 10 minutes away from me. Now it's hard to stay away! Now my collection is growing rapidly! :D
