Go back to page one and the very first reply to my post has a bracelet with 8 links removed (2 between each motif).
I want to wear my bracelet with my Love, but it is bigger (the way your 6 links removal sits, 4 in my case). I am trying to decide if I want to take 2 more links out (so it fits like your 8 links removal). I am just not sure how noticeable it is when the spacing is not equal between the motifs (with 6 links removal). Did this ever bothered you when wearing? This is the only concern I have. And a great factor in if I want it shorter or not. Hope you can tell me how you liked it :flowers: Thanks in advance!

That isn't my bracelet, but I couldn't stand for there not to be equal distance between motifs. So if I ever shorten one, it will be 4 links (or 8 if smaller was needed). I wonder if they'd add a link or two next to the clasp if taking out 4 or 8 would be too many?

Thanks for your kind reply and sorry I thought it was yours. Yes I think I also can’t stand uneven spacing. So I have to leave it with 4 removed I guess. I don’t know about the clasp though. I have read somewhere on the forum that someone wanted a link removed at the clasp side (wanted to keep the even spacing as well) and that is was very hard to get VCA on board. Because if there is not enough room there, you cannot clasp it and put it on. Something like that. Maybe adding links is no problem? Do you mean to get one motif dangling?

It just hits me, do you mean take out 8 and put 2 at the clasp end? To keep the even spacing between the motifs? For example?

Yes! Because I was thinking I'd really like 3 removed, but I have to remove 4 to have them all equal. But if they'd add one back to the clasp end, I'd have the length I want and equal lengths between the motifs.

Hi! For those of you prefer to wear their bracelets tight...
In case you are not aware, I want to share the paper clip trick. It works great (I take off two links).

Hope this was helpful.

bumping this post because I purchased a chalcedony bracelet, wound up removing 8 links, which fits by 14cm wrist but honestly was near impossible to put on by myself (it could be done, but it takes wayyy too long), I had the same thought but when I visited boutique, asked whether we could add one link back to the clasp bit at the end (effectively 7 links removed) which would have preserved the spacing. The SA said this isn't really something they do (said they could remove only 4, 6, or 8 links), but a different SA said it might possible but they would need to check with the general office... has anyone had this done? or know whether this can be done by VCA. Otherwise I will take my extra links to my jeweler and have her do it, though I'd prefer the work done by the company itself

I had this problem when I had my 5 motif adjusted and ended up having 6 links removed. It is uneven which really irritated me at first, but after wearing it I hardly notice it. Now I actually like the visual interest the bracelet provides with the “uneven spacing”. I originally wanted to have 8 links removed so it would be perfect but decided against it because I didn’t want it to be too hard for me to put on by myself.

I am getting a bracelet for Christmas and did ask my SA in NY this question, and she said no, they would not add links near the clasp. I just can't deal with uneven spaces between the motifs, so I guess mine is just going to be a little too long!

oh bummer, guess it's a real no then since most of the work is done in NY anyway
Thanks :)

This is the most handy thread for people w tiny wrists:tup: previously looked this up when i was looking into a 5 motif bracelet last year and sure enough a few months ago, the estimations on here were right! i needed 8 links removed. well, i’ve been struggling with putting it on by myself without help and looked up this thread last night. found the paper clip video trick above, works like a charm! loving my bracelet so much:smile:7FBC4346-D86F-418E-9C79-D456CA5D15D2.jpeg
