My boutique will do half centimeter increments but, this would mean a lack of symmetry between the right and left sides of the bracelt. This was offered to me but, it would have meant uneven spacing around the center motif and I opted to keep it on the loose side.

I think a lot of people would agree with you. When I tried 16cm vs 15cm, I may have been ok with the uneven spacing, but the widest spacing was between the motifs on the top of the hand, and I did not like how that looked.
It helps a lot thank you! will be getting it done in japan. I've concluded I need 15cm length after some research. Add the clasp and that's a perfect 6 inches. Hopefully japan allows the 15 cm
I think it should be OK! The reason I get push back (only with USA purchases) is because they insist it will be too small. I have to prove by telling them my wrist measurement. In Japan, I am sure it is more common to need the 15 cm length and hopefully it will be an easy process to request!
Do you suggest I request the length 15 cm or request 8 links removed? A friend will be doing this for me so I need to tell her what to ask for
I would ask for 15 cm first, and if they ask for links for some reason then tell them the number (just inform your friend). I have always been told to request by centimeters for the last couple of years, so I’m not sure if some boutiques still do it by links.
The Dubai boutiques will only adjust the sizing by up to 3cm more or less at 1cm increments.
