Photographed without permission, 35 dollars? BAGS HAVE FEELINGS TOO!
hehe... i guess it was her unique way to downplaying it.. the whole commentary included.." who pays x thousands on a purse... what u doing working here with that purse... what do u do, keep it in a safe...? i thought it was just any other $35 bag".... the funny thing was she purposely visited me to deliver such message...

today a coworker "found" my Kelly.. took it to take a picture in her office (paparazzi!!), showed it to another coworker who only seems to buy LV neverfulls... neverfull lady later tells me,that coworker is crazy, if she didn't tell me your bag was worth x thousands, I would've thought it was just any other $35 bag... uh..i just said..."sure" ..( I don't have $35 dollar bags.. maybe $1.50 (grocery bag hehe) but nothing about $35)..

Why would she take your bag? I am extremely protective of my bag and do not let anyone touch it (although a friend of mine does fawn over all my bags and sometimes touches it.... (She just does it, not that I encourage her.. ) and my sister in law is the same). I also will try to move my bag to one side if I know someone nearby will pass and may brush up against it...

I would have ran over and grabbed my bag from her and then lock it up so no one can take it... Geeze, a bag is quite a personal thing. Your coworker has no manners.

The other day I was wearing my Valentino Rockstud bag to my birthday celebration and 1 friend (she doesn't buy expensive stuff let's just say...) said my bag "looks angry".... My husband thought it was hilarious since he doesn't understand the obsession for bags (also doesn't understand why I bought a Kelly bag recently.... If he knew the price I paid, he would have freaked out). I was less than stellar about her comment...

Then another time I wore my rockstud heels to church and the pastor's wife asked me how much did I pay. I didn't feel comfortable telling her (or anyone...) And said more than I should have. Then she said $1,000 happily and started pointing out to women at church to look at my shoes because I paid a lot for them.... That made me feel uncomfortable for the rest of the service and will never wear my designer shoes there again....

Don't understand why people are so strange in public when someone wears a particular brand. Just keep it to yourself so no one feels awkward.

(I'm enjoying reading all the comments on the thread by the way)

Both coworkers' behavior was beyond appalling.
Shakespeare wrote a perfect retort for people like the neverfull lady: "There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy".

I had the same experience as anatheresa yesterday. I wore my 90 cm l'abre du vent scarf and gloves (it was cold at 5 o'clock in the morning and I HATE public transport but had to go by train yesterday) and my B. A young man (he was soemthing around 18 years old) sitting with his (female) colleagues in the train made really rude comments about me, like " uhhhh look she probably works in a callcenter...." "hopefully she won't infect me" (I had to clear my throat) " I betcha she thinks she is.... [couldn't hear that as I turned my head]" All the women (who very clearly in her midfourties and fifties) laughed, it was cruel.

And tonkamama: having a small dog by myself I had to bear so many nasty comments. The most common one is " ohhh look a CAT!". people are sometimes the worst. I understand that Chiuahua have to wear coats.

Those clods on the train sound like a bunch of overgrown children trying to impress themselves and each other. I would have resorted to my usual subtle hand gesture: Palm of my hand against my face, all fingers turned down except the middle one.

millivanilli ~ so sorry about the rude/nasty/bully incident during your train ride, which commonly seen on campus...:amazed: I guess this young man just doesn't get enough of these at home and has take it out anywhere he goes... I cannot imagine what kind of person this 18 year old growing up to be...what a sad soul that he started hating his life at such young age.

I thought I was the only one... A neighbor un-intentionally asked me if I was walking my "cats"... I know it was dark at night but still... :thinkin:

I get the 'is that a cat?' comment about my dog all the time too :( Yes today carrying my Bleu Glacier birkin two women passed me stared at me head to toe and one said to the other 'obviously a fake.' Didnt bother me as whatever they need to do to make themselves feel better. I also suspect its because im one of the rare Londoners who has colored bags (not just black and etain) so they dont realise they even come in so many shades. However the comments on my dog (also jealousy i suspect) KILL MEE!! They hurt my soul!

Don't let frustrated failures steal your joy: your dog's poop has more class than those 2 hags who made the mean comments.

Fact of life, some people are just rude.

The nerve of TAKING YOUR BAG anywhere, for any reason! :bagslap:

Confused ~ not bitter with you at all, Fab.

i meant the neverfull lady, not you VigeeLeBrun 😆

a "friends" wife told me "idk why anyone would buy real bags, fakes are just the same" said in a very condescending tone, like I was an idiot, upon seeing my bag

That's a real nasty comment. The nerve of some people to have the balls (sorry but I think this is the word to describe this) to say this to you out loud.

I honestly think when you leave without saying anything nasty back will keep a person classy. And that is what you are, not someone to lower yourself to these people's level
