As Scarlett O'Hara would say: "I want everybody who's been mean to me to be pea-green with envy!"
:roflmfao: you know, i might have to adopt her attitude

I hate that. I always say that because I work in software I value intellectual property especially highly and can't imagine any circumstance under which I'd carry a fake. It's especially bad as I have relatives who proudly seek out the "Canal Street" bags.

yes thats exactly where she was headed when she left my house
love how I'm sure her "knockoff" that she purchased it probably fallen apart now and mine is a perfect as the day I bought it, if not more so!

That's a real nasty comment. The nerve of some people to have the balls (sorry but I think this is the word to describe this) to say this to you out loud.

I honestly think when you leave without saying anything nasty back will keep a person classy. And that is what you are, not someone to lower yourself to these people's level

thank you for writing. i always wonder how i should respond to ppl like her bc usually I'm too shocked to respond...but i'll take your advice and i agree, its better to be classy and not go to their level

:) great minds think alike.

And it isn't our job to make sure other people get what they may deserve. Truly what comes around goes around.

I will take the high road any day.

Having gone through a period of extreme jealousy (mine) with regard to a family member, I can say with certainty that jealousy is painful and corrosive for the sufferer. However nastily they behave, they are suffering inside. Not that that means they should be indulged!--but if you are the target of jealous behavior, know that the source is not a happy person.

Agreed. I always try to look at it this way.

I wear and carry my Hermes while traveling, and I interact with people that Hermes is a normal thing. In day to day life I avoid it just because pretty much nobody around here carries brands like this. I'll wear jewelry or scarves, low key things, to work. I keep my Hermes addiction pretty private from friends as well, rather not deal with snide reactions. Don't care about strangers, but friends I prefer to avoid it with. In this way I kind of feel like I'm living a double life.

I have a new story. I went to my favorite local coffee shop about a month or so ago. I frequent there and grab a coffee there a few days a week. Sometimes I sit with it and get some work done, people watch, etc. Strangely enough this is the same place where many of negative comments about my Hermes items have been made...

Anyway, that day I was carrying my Kelly. I had ordered a coffee and was waiting for it to be made when the line behind me started getting longer. They are a bit slow in that place, but it wasn't as if I was talking to them and making it go slower or changing my order around or anything. I was just waiting for it to be made.

There were two ladies behind me in the line and suddenly I hear one of them loudly say to the other, "I guess we have to wait, it's not like all of us have a Birkin" and something about bags and holding up the line.

It was very strange since it wasn't as if I cut the line or was holding it up in any way other than waiting for my order. And apparently all Hermes bags are Birkins.

Oh thats so rude! If it were me, i would have turned around, looked them straight in the eye and said "It's a Kelly, there's a difference." then turn back around, get my coffee and walk away from those irrelevant jerks!

How bizarre! It's not your miss named bag that was the problem, the rude woman was the problem, doubt she was a lady.
