OP, congrats on your new shiny GOLD hardware! I prefer the gold with beige as well... so elegant. I also give you kudos for not sharing where you got it done out of respect for your SA... their phone would be ringing nonstop. Soon enough other stores will be openly offering this service as well anyway.
Someone earlier mentioned a receipt... I don't know if they gave you one stating that you had the hardware replaced. If you ever decided to sell (not that you would want to sell such a lovely bag), some may be thrown off by the silver stamp and GHW.

Oooooh, what size is your flap? 
Hmm, I love brown/gold with so many things! My one and only Birkin is actually in that color combo (chocolate/gold 30cm) and I wear it with coral, yellow, purple, teal, cream, camel, orange, certain prints, etc. etc. The gold warms up the brown nicely and I really love the combo. 
Totally wish I could change my brown/silver medium to a brown/gold medium, haha.

My brown flap is a M/L flap in lamb. I've been meaning to wear it since the day I bought it but I still haven't...don't know what to do with it even though I love the color!! Funny because I've never had a hard time wearing my brown color Vuittons

Thank you so much for letting us know that it may be possible to change the hardware. I have a black jumbo with silver hardware and kind of wish I bought it with gold hardware. With all the insane price increases, it's hard to justify buying yet another black jumbo; changing out the hardware is a much cheaper alternative. Thanks again for being so helpful! It is much appreciated!
I do think that soon other boutiques will be doing this...that would be great to get your black switched to gold if you have found yourself wishing it was gold (like I did with my beige).!
On a sperate note, I just discovered in the zipper pocket that they sent back the hardware (except the chain)

They sent it back to you? maybe to change it back to silver in the future you might need to re-use these? silly guess probably.....

I fully understand you not wanting to give out your sa's details. after they went the extra mile for you to get the hw changed it wouldn't be a very nice way to "thank" them by letting every 4856828183940592 people who read this thread to call or go in demanding they do it for them as well. that would be very annoying. anyways enjoy your bag. I wish you had a before shot lol I don't think I've ever seen your bag with silver hw.
I've been reading pages and pages of this thread. I'm perfectly fine with OP's stand about what she wants to share and her reservations about giving certain other details. 
Thanks for sharing the info, OP. If you don't mind, could you ask your SA if they do hardware change on the permanent line only i.e. on the black and beige clair? I have this feeling that your hardware change request was granted because your beige flap is part of the permanent classic collection and exists in both GHW and SHW.
