Can't do much about it, except ignore it. :p (Maybe the mods will notice you quoted her and can delete that too, pretend her silly insults never happened lol.... )

I meant no negativity toward the OP in any of my questions or posts. I like others were very curious because we have always been told it couldn't be done. I figure if this is Chanel's new policy, there was no harm in letting us know where it was done. I even stated I understood the OP wanting to keep her SA's name private.

I am actually thinking about doing this to my 09A Red. I was torn from the beginning whether or not to get SHW or GHW. Now I can save myself the trouble of hunting one down..lol. I will ask Emilsen about it next time I'm at 57th Street.

Please keep all of us here updated if you found any news on this. Like you said, it it can be done and we know that that particular model comes with GHW, we could save the trouble of finding it in GHW and go with the SHW and change it for the additional $120! I would love to do that to the 09A taupe!

Yikes! I feel bad for all the negativity. Some people are a little jealous. Lol I would have kept the sa and boutique private as well. Everyone one here would be calling and its not fair for one SA to get swamped w calls.

She shared good news so everyone can now call their personal SA. I do think the op got lucky her SA went the extra mile for her. Now we know Chanel is willing to do this. So think we should all be extra nice to our SA now Hehehe.

Also these bags are 5k, If we request silver or gold HW Chanel should jump at our whim ;) in our dreams lol.

I'm not sure when I will speak to her, but I will def let you know if I find out anything. The 09A Taupe is gorgeous with both GHW and SHW. Minal has the GHW and it is TDF!

My first preference was GHW but I settled for whatever I could get my hands on since taupe is a very beautiful color to begin with. I know Minal has the GHW and Mia has the SHW and they are both so lovely. Which hardware do you prefer more on the taupe? I think you like the SHW based on your wishlist.

I'm more of a SHW girl, but for this color I would do either.

I've purchased the Black Jumbo w/SHW right before the increase and it's been sitting in my closet. I know, I know, crazy. But I'm like this with new bags. I've been thinking a lot about the Black Jumbo w/GHW. I'm really hoping the NM where I originally purchased it from will change the hardware otherwise I'm sorta not content with my major purchase. Any comments or suggestions?

I would definitely have them call Chanel to ask. Let them know that you know of Chanel doing it recently (in the past month) on a beige claire jumbo. Again, my boutique had said no and then they called to say that it can now be done....so if you really want gold, give it a try. I am soooo glad that I did!!

So agree! I think their quality is definitely going down. I just brought a Just mademoiselle in antique gold with antique chain handle. But the lining inside is cheap burgundy cotton cloth. Looks so cheap. However I bought it becuase I loved the exterior. How can prices increase and their product quality is decreasing.....
