Hi all, just to update - took this into store. As expected, they can’t do anything about the white mark, and of course said I shouldn’t have tried to clean it with anything as baby wipes can have oils in them which ruin the bags.
Regarding the corner, they basically said it’s not a quality issue and therefore they won’t do anything about it. They did agree it shouldn’t be folding in, however they advised me I must have stored it incorrectly to cause it to do that.

Annoying, but not surprising! Thanks for your replies etc.
I'm said to hear it. They also exaggerate (as always), most baby wipes are 99.9% water, but even the ones with some almond or camomile extract have nowhere near enough (or potent) oils that would be able to dissolve PVC on the first try.
The only good thing might be that it is not likely to get worse or bigger. Wish they would have been a little more generous, it's a 30$ cost for them.

I just got the Babylone MM Empriente Tote, and although I have returned another one due to pattern misalignment issues (see below where one of the triangles was smaller than the other on the side), the when I exchanged it for seems to have a different issue.

This one seems to either be crooked, too wide stitching apart or one higher than the other im the areas where the straps are reinforced on the 4 reinforced areas. Can you tell me if I should try to find another one or exchange it back for the other one?

Now I am debating which is the lesser of the two “evils” - LOL. The tote with the stitching issue on the straps is more visible obviously; whereas, the tote with the smaller triangle cut pattern on the side is less visible as it is near the bottom (but I just feel the patterns should also be more aligned).

I hate to bother my SA yet again but they only get one in at a time it seems, which is a real pain when you want to compare stock.

Thanks for your feedback in advance!

P.S. I’ve decided to contact the SA and let him know that I’m not happy with this crooked stitching especially as I think the previous one had better stitching.

With all due respect, these were all fine. I know Vuitton quality is all over the place these days, but these are well within range, even for Hermès. The alignment is very much normal, the variance was less than a mm. Also they couldn't even see it since the French seam is sewn from the inside. This looks better than most Neverfulls.
The reinforcement stitches, those are also perfectly fine. In reality these 2-3-stitch short parts at weird places like this (or belt buckles and strap belts) these are almost finished (or completely done) by hand. And they are all within that less than a mm range, and none of them looks crooked. I even checked the press photos, they all like this, or in most cases, yours look the best.
When questions arise in this thread, I first check the pics before reading the text, if I can see anything wrong. In this case, I honestly haven't seen anything I'd hate.
I don't want to try to gaslight you into accepting something you don't want, but I'd let go of the model altogether if these really bother you. They're all gonna have something like this. And I am 100% sure that the poor SA feels just as lost as I did when looking at the pics.

Thank you very much for your response and reassurance.

It’s my first LV bag so I am still learning about what to expect and what is acceptable and what is not.

I really appreciate your detailed response and expertise.

I will keep my current tote!!

It is a very nice bag, it's gonna be hard-wearing and beautiful for a long time. I hope other owners will chime in as well, but in general, these Empreinte pieces are among the least problematic at Vuitton.

Hi everyone, I just received my bumbag but I see the canvas texture is different at some sections of the bag, some parts are very smooth some very textured - please let me know if this is a defect? Very frustrated!

I think that is normal. It wouldn‘t bother me as the texture is not uniform. If it bothers you I would return it, as it should make you happy. But I don‘t think it is a defect at all.

This is the second LV mini bumbag I’ve ordered and both have defects. Is this just an issue with the mini bumbag? The closest LV store is hours away from me which is why I ordered this online. I really wanted it in the empreinte leather.

First picture, the top caves in. The second and third pictures, there is single stitching on the strap but then it goes to double stitching. None of my other bags (purchased in Europe) have this but the mini bumbag says it’s made in America and shipped from TX. My mom is going to Switzerland next week and I’m considering having her pick this bag up for me over there but I’m afraid it’ll have the same problems. Anyone else experiencing this with the mini bumbag?

This is not the first Mini Bumbag on the forum with such a wonky zipper this month. Also these 6-7 back stitches on the straps are more and more common these days. I really don't see why they do it mid-line, not at the end where the clasps connect, but for some reason it seems to be very common now. I wouldn't be surprised if the ones in Zürich would be similar.

Thanks for the reply. Like you, I thought the double stitch would’ve been closer to the end of the strap. I can live with the bag. It’s very soft which probably lends to a bit of the wonkiness. The strap though, I’m more concerned with. I’m curious if they’d swap the strap for me. My fear is that the sand color will go out of stock like the cream color did. Hmm. Decisions. Decisions.

They could do it, but as a repair process, and I am sure they'd be too lazy to just do it, and probably would try to gaslight you that it's normal and handmade and the rest of the typical BS. It is probably a very good construction still, it's just not pleasant looking. And also, the strap they's swap it for might be just like this.

You’re right. I really want to love it but if I keep it, it’ll just bother me. They cost too much to not LOVE it. The fact that it’s happened twice now is not promising. LV is having major quality control problems. It’s unfortunate.
