I bought this pocket organizer last June it's the giant damier wallet in blue and orange. The glazing is cracking already, seems fast but whatever. But the canvas is already cracking around the stitches in multiple places. Is this normal? If this is normal it's extremely disappointing. If it's not normal I want to return it, but don't want to go to Louis Vuitton and be told it's normal.
Where’s the canvas ? I think what I’m seeing in the photo is the leather lining (which is similar to their old Taïga leather).

As for the cracking resin (it depends on how often you open it and how far back you push the flap while manipulating the wallet). It’s not “normal” per se to have it happen within 1 year but it certainly can.

Ah yes I didn't realize the inner part is leather. Then yes the leather is cracking! Is it normal for the leather lining to crack? It feels very canvasy to me so I assumed it was canvas, but I guess it's just plastic coated leather?

Leather shouldn’t crack! It means there’s too much tension on the stitching. :S

It’s essentially the LV version of saffiano leather so yes. It is so heavily coated you can’t really tell it is leather. 😂

Yikes! Do you think they would do an exchange or return then?
It’s hard to know because what LV accepts under their quality control appears to be less stringent with each passing year.

Do you have an SA, if so it’s best to text them the photos and see what they think!

But considering another TPF member is having issues with her clearly damaged ostrich bag I’m not too hopeful for a replacement.

I ordered the Hobo Cargo and the bag is really great. What I don't like at all is the shoulder strap, it's not made of a strong material like the MPA but rather a soft material and you can see how it's fuzzing around the edges before you even use it. Now I don't know if I'll regret keeping the bag and the strap will quickly look shabby. Unfortunately it's sewn in and can't be replaced. Has anyone had any experience with this type of strap?

My fear is that it will quickly form small nodules and pull threads

They used these cotton straps heavily in the 00s, the classic Beaubourg for example. They are sturdy, but yes, they can show age. The Multi Pochette strap is straight-up plastic, 100% nylon, that will look the same a century from now.

Thank you for your reply. I have decided to send the bag back. The strap just doesn't fit, it looks shabby. And it's unused. What a shame considering the beautiful, high-quality bag.

Does it open on its own?
I don’t recognize that. Is it a recently purchased bag?
The metis that I received had the opposite problem; the lock just didnt open, no matter how hard or often I squeezed the buttons together. Im waiting for an exchange; is that an option for you?

Hi my wonderful TPF friends! Need some help from the experts. I have this empriente speedy 20 for two months. Used a few times and don’t overstuff it. Is this normal for those holes to be like that? It’s on both sides of the bag. I’m kind Of worried it will rip more. I know it’s from wearing the crossbody strap but just want to hear someone else’s opinion or experience.

You probably didn't notice the size of the holes at first.
The triangle of stitches hold the tab in place and there should not be enough movement of the tab to rip the bag

Has anyone experienced cracked glazing with their Neo Noe Empreinte ? I previously had this issue with my Neo Noe Monogram Noir and they issued me a store credit. Louis Vuitton has claimed that there is no known issue with the Neo Noe Empreinte but I find this very hard to believe. They are charging for repair. From my experience all the neo noe bags experience this issue regardless of the material as it is the glazing that has issues not the fabrication of the bags.

I have to admit that the second I looked at the strap in your pictures I thought the strap looked cheap. It cheapens the bag so much. Odd choice for such a pretty bag. Glad you sent it back.

Hi,

I noticed that my hardware in new speedy 20 in gun metal that I bought end of last month is not as shiny compared to when I first bought it. Also just noticed the side zipper cloth has a “dent”. Is this normal? It’s not even 1 month old and seldom used.

Putting new onthego east west side by side for zipper comparison. New east west is definitely shiner.
