I am just curious of what you think, is it even worth handing in? Will they just say it's normal wear and tear. Bag bought in November 2019. I am just afraid they will send me off by saying it is old and that it is not their fault I was not able to bring it in immediately.

It looks so new and unused otherwise. It's not like an old beaten up bag, but like an almost new one with disturbingly unusual wear at a few points. I am sure they will help with it, but I guess the in-person pickup cannot be skipped :(
The edge paint on the bottom looks like a very sloppy job, but I guess it was like that from day one. The leather must also come from a bad batch, this doesn't look normal.

Thank you very much for your input. Good to hear this is not only in my head. The bag is indeed like new, except for the peeling and I can't understand what the issue is. I have an empreinte leather Blanche in black color and there are no issues with it. I think I have used it every week for the last 5 years and no peeling whatsoever.

It is the tannery, the leather finish is clearly problematic.

I don’t really see an issue with it. Does it flatten out more with your stuff in it? If I hold mine up a certain way it sort of looks like that but have never noticed it.

So I did not send it away and have only used it a maximum of 7-8 times. The peeling is just too noticable and it looks like a cheap bag. The peeling is from normal wear on my shoulder, I always take very good care of my bags. Any advice is welcomed on how to proceed, as right now I am stuck with a bag that is only sitting in a dust bag in my closet, because I am ashamed of using it. I don't think this should be happening after such a short time when you pay for premium quality.

corner wear is expected on bag in shape like this and in such light color, especially wearing it on shoulder because it's easy to bump into people and things, carry in hand can help a bit. depends on your relationship with LV, they may or may not do exchange for you. I would wear it as is or sell it get something darker color next time.

Just for your information, I sent mine for a replacement zip as it was stiff and it had come away from the lining in one small spot. They changed it to the “new” way without notifying me. I would have been fine with this but they actually left a double lip on the zip area, ie the left the old piece above and added a new part at the same level underneath, jutting out to be on par with the old piece. It looked odd and not correct, there was two layers of canvas around the zip. They also left two big gashes/tears where there were none before, though I know some argue this is normal on the PSM. It’s not, as I got them to compare it to another in store and it hadn’t been on the bag previously. I didn’t accept the repair!

Good to know! I won’t accept it either if they do that to mine. What did they end up doing then? Replace it?
