Is this a defect, is this normal for this Chanel item?

Hello ladies!
I bought reissue 255 3days ago. Its new. But when I got home with the bag I discovered creases and angle at the bottom of it. Is it normal? I think this is where inner bag is connected to outer bag.. should I return? Or keep :(

I'd return, it looks like it was packaged poorly which might have damaged the structure. My reissue is many years old and the structure is still intact.

Hey TPFers!
I bought my third (OMG lol) preloved Chanel. I know alot of Chanel lovers don't like the patent leather bags. BUT I have a question if this is normal. I got this bag from A Retro Tale and the bag is from the year 2010/2011.

I was wondering if this is a defect... Is it because it's patent leather or the age? Or whatever?

I think it was a good price (probably also because its patent leather and they may not be that popular). I mean it is preloved so it CANT look like new (which she does at the first sight). There is something which caught my eyes a few days after I got it with the mail.

So what do you think? I'm petty sometimes...

What I see is the structure of the flap and the leather underneath where the lock is... Do YOU see it or is it me?

It's the same at the back of the bag. The attached pocket is a different structure than the "all over" bag.

I also attached a pic with a not so good light. Is it still noticable to you?

Yes, I agree that there are differences in the material. However it almost looks like it had an ombré effect too. Parts of the bag look darker and some lighter. Idk if that’s just the lighting for the photo.

The ombrè you see is actually the lighting/flash.

But would u be bothered?

I dont think its noticeable with normal lighting 🤷‍♀️

The crease looks like maybe a chain mark to me. That can happen to any bag.
Lamb isn’t delicate imo, so it’ll probably sort itself to be honest. You’ll just need to be careful how you’re storing it.

Did you buy the bag at the store? Also lambskin leather will be very susceptible to scratches, press marks, and such. Have you considered the caviar leather instead? It is much more resilient and you can condition and clean it much more confidently.
hi yes i bought it at the store. i dont think it had this at the store because i inspected it thoroughly & i wouldnt have accepted it if it had this crease. i wanted caviar but they dont make the minis in caviar anymore.

how does it sort itself out? thank you
It is barely visible but if you go to the shop very likely they will fix it. In the shop in Milano I requested a classic flap in blue and when arrived and I inspected it in the shop I found a small indentation, probably from storage. They brought the bag in the back of the shop and made something (don’t know what) and the dent disappeared magically :)

To make sure it does not happen again, do you store it with the chain far from the bag body?
