Is this a defect, is this normal for this Chanel item?

I just posted this on the March purchases thread but I just picked up a 25P black top handle. It is my first lamb skin and first top handle bag. The flap looks slightly off to me, being lower down on the left hand side, and the cc also looks slightly off… the flap also is smaller on the right hand side. Can anyone set my mind at ease as these are so expensive now. The strap has also leather sticking out where the leather chain finishes on both sides. Thanks

Is this degree of puffiness and smoother caviar normal? I bought a preloved Jumbo flap and it looks so different than my other flap and cardholder.
PS The hardware color does not look like this in real life. The lighting in the second picture almost makes it look orange.

I have a classic flap where the flap seems to be lower on one side. I never measured it, so I’m not sure if it’s actually longer than the other side, but these things happen.

Hi everyone! Hoping for a bit of advice as I’m getting differing opinions from family/friends.

I bought this mini rectangle in Paris a couple of weeks ago, the one I tried was squint so they had one sent from another store and it took so long I only took a quick look (silly, I know) and bought it.

I’ve got it home and when I compare it to my other bags, I really think the construction is shoddy. The two sides are completely different, they both stick out in places and the sides stick out at the top from the back of the bag too. You can see it when I’m wearing it too.

When I compare to the structure of other classic flaps, admittedly my other lambskin sticks out a little on the side, but that is vintage and well worn.

I’m wondering if you’d agree the bag was constructed poorly, or if you’d expect lambskin to be more slouchy / not symmetrical and I need to be less picky?

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

All leathers caviar and lambskin are different. I have three Chanel black caviar handbags and they are all completely different. HTH

Hi! I’m wondering if anyone else has seen this? I bought this Chanel and had it authenticated by both legit grails and POIZON. Both concluded it’s authentic. Legitgrails does not know why this stamp is not symmetrical. I got a super good deal on the bag and it’s in perfect condition but this bugs me!

Is this normal in caviar leather? Just bought this bag from the boutique and seems like there are leather cracks in some parts of the leather strap. My SA says it is leather grooves and texture in the leather. Should I send it out for a repair or just return it?

Unfortunately, yes, this is true. Usually when you ask the SA, they say to just rub your hand over the striations and allow some heat from your hands to rub into the leather. I've used a leather protector even on my newest bags...ever so lightly. But I agree with Swanky, you might want to go back and complain. You shouldn't have to work on a new Chanel.
