That’s terrible how people are so careless, thoughtless or indifferent about it — you have every right to know being in close proximity and breathing the same air as them for days. Just because a person doesn’t show symptoms doesn’t mean he/she is virus-free. So pissed off for you.

Thanks. I am vacillating between huge sorrow for the family and huge anger for my greatest fear of being exposed at work and not knowing and killing my mother while she’s here.

From a world where you had to hunt someone down with a landline to having an instant 20 different ways to give a heads up in two seconds and choosing not to. I just don’t get people and, in this case, someone actually died. How much motivation do you need to do the right thing?

All this talk about what to do when it happens in the workplace and this was their choice. Nothing even when legally required to do so. I really am losing total faith in humanity giving any concern about their fellow human being. Never thought I would see this level of who cares ever in my life. So beyond sad.

Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. Enough sadness. I am going to be crying over and donating to Louisiana relief tomorrow. This year sucks!

Time to go see the new Coach collection and get a few laughs in.

Never heard of it either — would love to hear your thoughts later
It is a line of product that uses a consultant like Avon and such. They sell cleaning cloths and such that supposedly only need to use water to clean because they are a nice microfiber. There is a ton of info online. So you can search for videos, reviews and products. Anyway, I picked up a couple competitor cloths at a store to see if I liked it, and then someone had a party online and I bought a small set of the Norwex.

It hasn’t come yet but I have used the ones I bought first, and it is an okay idea but I don’t think I am wowed about the idea as some that really get into it. I think because I am not cleaning so much that I am using tons of cleansers anyway. Also, you have to wash the cloths separately (you can rinse them between use but need to wash them regularly as well) because they don’t last well if washed with lint-y laundry. So that is kind of annoying.

I will keep you posted to see if I get more excited about it. Lol

She’s not a visitor. She’s been hired to work as the lead in a movie production. It is being shot in Canada. As a child, she needs a parent with her by law hence my sister too.

They are being quarantined for the first two weeks in the hotel and have been chauffeured by the production company everywhere they’ve been from home to airport to hotel.

If the production companies are allowed to resume production and follow protocol, you got to let their staff in. Otherwise, don’t waste people’s time and money and just keep it shut down.

As a customer service person, it just annoys me when people get short sighted. Can you imagine getting your big break, traveling all day to your dream, and then have a stranger try and derail it last minute and you’ve done everything right?

There is a ton of work that actors put it in before they get this far and sacrifices they make especially the parents. Their family is being separated for three months to make this happen.

It is just aggravating. Anyway, last post about any of this.

Someone gave me a recipe for chocolate pudding. We may try that tonight.
Choc pudding with avo???

A final big heart to anyone in the path of Laura before you lose power. Having been through Andrew in that area I know what you're about to go through.

I know lots of people lurk here so if you are in the path, please know you are being thought about and prayed for. May you, your pets, and your bags, all come through unscathed. Your neighbors will be there to donate and clean up after it passes through which I hope is quickly.:hugs:
Yes I agree with everything LT said! ❤️ Be safe!

So, in the exciting world of what can you find during shortages of anything related to cleaning or first aid, here are my success stories of the day. At the grocery store, though I thankfully haven't had issues with toilet paper when we run out, they had these huge 20 packs of Scott, which is the brand we use. It is way too much for us, and normally I buy 8 or 12, but this was my only option, so we have lots. lol (I don't really buy in bulk for lack of space--and this is considered bulk for me!)

I found hydrogen peroxide at a small drugstore. And I found rubbing alcohol at another drugstore. Pretty exciting! lol
Woohoo! Now if you said Clorox wipes too I would have said you need to go play the lottery! :D

Okay thanks for the feedback.

Kind of on this note I find it funny that, not factoring in the change shortage, that some stores are kind of odd about cash now. Honestly there is a lot of touching everywhere going on, so I can't excuse that as a reason why they should be worried about cash. But for example, I went to a store yesterday and my item was only 10$, so she said oh, you are paying cash? I said yes. and she said we need to go to the other register as it is the only one with cash. Weird. Anyway, then I gave her a 20 and some change to get $10 back. She asked if I had something smaller as there wasn't enough for change? lol. She had to get it from the safe. I was thinking, you are a chain store, cash should be expected as not all items in here cost a ton of money. I don't like to use credit if I have cash as it keeps my bills down.

Another funny story...my guys and I go to Target and the self checkout guy was saying they don't take cash right now, which I knew because there was a sign and it had been that way for a while. He explains it is for the change shortage not because they otherwise would not take cash. My husband oddly says he is sorry 3 times, and I am thinking what is he saying sorry for? It turns out he totally missed what the guy said and thought he said they can't take items in baskets in that area, only carts, so my husband thought we were doing something wrong.

My son, husband, and I lol about it so much later because he said sorry so pathetically and in a way I have never heard him say it, and we kept joking with him--we are glad you are so empathetic about the change shortage! I said I have no idea how or why you thought the basket was the issue  We still laugh about it weeks later.

What a great story! That is totally something I would do. He's not alone!

I am the same, i use my banking app all the time, i rarely ever go into a bank and use my fingerprint scanner. I once forgot my debit card in the bank machine! so my phone is much less likely to be left anywhere. I also maintain small figures in my account, and prefer to transfer in as needed, when i realized i forgot my debit(on the weekend of coarse!) i zero'd the account called the bank and cancelled the card.

As for paying with my phone it sends me notifications of every transaction. XX.XX$ spent @ ____ even gives me location of the store.

That's good. Maybe I'll warm up to it eventually. :sweatdrop::biggrin:

Today I was having a thought.... whats the most that you have spent in a purse? Mine would have to be $404 cad ($275 usd) for the rogue 25 dark fairy tale (i love the purple colour and the bag but if i had to do it again I wouldn't...exchange rate was and is a killer)

$580 for my 1st generation Rogue in mineral. I put together gift $, so it didn't hurt as much. This color also sold out kind of fast and people still search for it. I am sure others got it for less, but I'm ok with that. My other bags have all been less. I rarely get the best price at the outlet, though. I have learned to live with that.
