So my niece almost got banned from Canada. The Russian airline chick at Chicago‘s airport told her she wasn’t “essential” and that Canada wouldn’t let her in.

My sister said call Canadian immigration if you won’t accept the production letter. They can’t do the movie without her. Canada said have letter then welcome American friends!

They are winging their way there now. Customer service and common sense in America versus our good friends to the North. Anyone else want to switch zip codes?

No wonder the “do you know who I am?” comes out when you get famous. It’s to deal with the stupid people.

Technically she is not essential, the lady was right, it depends on the immigration officer you get, we have many many restrictions to usa and international visitors, quite honestly i am surprise she was allowed in, since even non direct families members are not being allowed, and some international students who have already paid tuition havent been allowed either, she is lucky she got a nice immigration officer is she had had some less friendly she would not being allowed in, its been all over the papers here.

I store my peanut butter upside down too! I was going to mention that, then decided it sounded weird.

Omg thank you!!! You guys are the best I will go check out that thread <3, it was hard to walk away from carbs and sugars, and especially dairy but my stomach pains where so bad I thought for second..what if I have stomach cancer? My grandpa died from that, there is a lot of cancer in my family...i lost an ovary due to cysts, it was a scary time while I got my results, in the big scheme of things I will take gluten and lactose intolerant over cancef any day. But I do hate when my family is enjoying their frozen yogurts or slices of cake lol

She’s not a visitor. She’s been hired to work as the lead in a movie production. It is being shot in Canada. As a child, she needs a parent with her by law hence my sister too.

They are being quarantined for the first two weeks in the hotel and have been chauffeured by the production company everywhere they’ve been from home to airport to hotel.

If the production companies are allowed to resume production and follow protocol, you got to let their staff in. Otherwise, don’t waste people’s time and money and just keep it shut down.

As a customer service person, it just annoys me when people get short sighted. Can you imagine getting your big break, traveling all day to your dream, and then have a stranger try and derail it last minute and you’ve done everything right?

There is a ton of work that actors put it in before they get this far and sacrifices they make especially the parents. Their family is being separated for three months to make this happen.

It is just aggravating. Anyway, last post about any of this.

A final big heart to anyone in the path of Laura before you lose power. Having been through Andrew in that area I know what you're about to go through. :sad:

I know lots of people lurk here so if you are in the path, please know you are being thought about and prayed for. May you, your pets, and your bags, all come through unscathed. Your neighbors will be there to donate and clean up after it passes through which I hope is quickly. :heart::hugs:
