I read an article in the New Yorker and heard a segment on NPR today about overloaded Goodwill and consignment stores because of Kondo's store. Obviously, we are not along with our stuff!

LOL.. oh boy, that is reminding me of all the new years gym equipment purchases and gym memberships, it rarely lasts but at least Goodwill gets some benefit out of it and perhaps some folks will get nice things they wouldn't otherwise have.

At least it’s all out of the house! I’ve been using one bag a week since the beginning of January (Neverfull GM, Speedy B25, and Pochette Métis). This week is the start of the 4th bag (Chloe Roy Bucket). I find it to be much less stressful than when I would change out 2 to 3 times a week. I’ve been cheating a little in that I’m using bags I know I love to use often.
I also gave my Kusama Neverfull to my cousin for her 20th year celebration. So now I’m down to 11. Woo boo!

Fantastic! i actually enjoy having less, i feel not as pressured to use them otherwise lol

Yes! I’d ideally like to be at 10 or 12. I really started wanting a MWT Speedy. After using my Speedy B25 in the rain I felt like it would be nice to have something slightly bigger and carefree. I’m really going to miss that Neverfull but I know she’ll take good care of it so it will be ok. [emoji32]lol

Such a kind thing to do, and sometimes seeing someone get pleasure from things is actually nicer than owning it ourselves.

Does anyone else have a bag that you think you should get rid of and then when you use it you realize you’re crazy? [emoji23]

I have had this feeling a few times with my black rogue 36 and then each time I pull it out to use and fill her up I love it! I think I felt that way at one time and now my head is just stuck on that thought but the bag makes me happy whenever I use it! I love the contrast of the black with honey suede interior, and it has such a spicy smell to it. I think I need to reprogram my brain!

Yes and No. I felt that way about several bags — wanted to list them, then use them one more time to be sure and liked them again so kept them, but then later on, listed/sold them because they didn’t make the cut (compared to other bags that I never once thought about listing). That is how I assess my bags, partly based on whether I ever considered selling them at all. A bit like with guys — any small or nagging concern usually means something, lol. This is just me — I may be more “ruthless” with my bag decisions,

I think maybe you’re not ready to part with your Black Rogue just yet (or ever). Give it time — it will become clear if she is a keeper or not.

Nice job Sarah. He has some good ideas... it allows you to indulge but not overwhelm yourself. Honestly, i cut my collection back because it was just impractical and actually stressed me out, what is the point in that?!

Enjoy your refined collection.

Thanks! He’s a keeper for sure [emoji2]
You’re so right. When our collections cause us stress, it’s time to cut back!!

I think I had that thought a while back because the bag was a bit slouchy since it’s so large and I mostly have a preference that my Rogues stay more structured. But! Now after over 60 uses of my Ivy Rogue (which was very structured) it has developed just the nicest worn in a bit droopy shape that I’m loving! I’m a bit crazy when it comes to setting my bags down, I kind of position them so they turn into the shape I want. And I feel like this has helped me to more appreciate the slouching of the 36 size.

I’m going on a weekend getaway soon and I think I’m going to use my 36 and Madison north south tote as my travel bags. That will be the true test! I think it would be a good bag to hold a couple days worth of clothes. I’m going to use the side pockets for socks and undies [emoji23]

I like your bag to guy comparison. All the bags I sold are now considered my ex BFs! Lol

True. It was sitting in my closet being sad and unused. I’d rather see it out and about even if I’m not the one carrying it. Though I hope I didn’t open a can of worms for my cousin lol [emoji15]

That’s going to be a great way to see how versatile the bag will be for you. :)

And at least you get to make some money back from your ex bags. Hehe
