DH made me bring all of my bags into our living room. He could tell I was overwhelmed, so he suggested sorting into 3 piles- Love, Like, and sell. After I did that he told me to pick 5 bags from the “like” pile to keep, bringing my total to 33 (3 of those are small crossbodies like the soho). I now have 13 bags to list! It feels good to have an organized closet.
I think from here I will speed date my other bags and sell/keep accordingly.
I’ve noticed that my other problem areas with “collecting” includes earrings, bikinis, makeup, and shoes.

Great Hubby! I could not do this with my DH. He does not have patience and wants things done in a few minutes...

I read a comment awhile ago on another thread where someone said they could take a chance on buying a $300 purse because it was cheap, and wouldn't be a big deal to donate if it didn't work out. They said it was just the cost of a nice dinner.

I don't know if that comment makes me want to laugh or cry... The price of a nice dinner... :shocked: I have obviously never had a nice dinner....:amazed: I have had really good food, though. :nuts:

Wow, you went really far away to make returns. I bet it feels great to have it all out of the house.
Speed dating shoes is a great idea! I did it last year and got rid of a whole bunch more than I thought I would.

Yes, much less stressful. The weather wasn't the best, but I wanted the stuff out, and in store returns are faster.
11 bags! That's terrific! I want to get back to 15, and I think I can do this. Well, maybe 16.

Thanks! He really helped hold me accountable, and I love him for that. That being said, he is also my biggest enabler when it comes to buying bags [emoji23]
It was sobering to see all the bags spread out in the living room. After sleeping on it I have a little more motivation to downsize my collection even further!

Thanks! Don’t be too hard on yourself, it took me over 6 months to be motivated to sell again. Watching Marie’s new show definitely helped.

Oh wow. That’s such a long drive to make returns, especially in the cold weather you’re having.

Yes, I miss LT, hope she is ok, and can come back soon. In fact, Joe misses her too (see the picture of his sad puppy eyes below).

I’m happy with it at the moment but it’s not a number everyone is comfortable with. I would have a hard time figuring out which of your beauties should go/stay.

I’d also like to sell some SLGs but that’s another beast on its own lol.

I know.... the few times we spend over $100 I feel like we have certainly splurged, and that is a rare occurrence. And that number includes wine, tip and everything. I am not sure what you get at a restaurant that totals $300. lol
