Influencers and Hermes

It could be - but I would believe this only with the TOP influencers with 1M+ instagram followers. Many people are virtual nobodies that I doubt H would give away stuff to - they're the ones that peddle senreve, lilysilk, and the like.
Definitely not. I tend to agree. I’m talking Tamara (though apparently there’s so shadiness there), Heart etc. The myriad of YouTubers recounting their H journeys are using the brand to build their brands, but that’s not who H is targeting.

But I’m sure anyone who has a direct line to Michael Coste has some sort of mutually beneficial relationship.

Can we please disabuse ourselves of the fiction that H is not working with influencers for a mutually agreeable end. They literally have an open position for an influencer PR manager right now. They are giving away product or money in exchange for visibility. To believe anything else is just crazy to me.
I agree 1000% with this. It is just naive to think otherwise. This is a company with a market cap of 1.3 billion, that has an incredibly sophisicated business model, and has fooled the majority of their customers into believing boutique stock is down due to the pandemic supply chain issues. AS IF! They control the market, and one way they do it is by getting BKC into the hands of influencers and on to IG.

I watched Alyssa Lenore’s recent video (love her she’s great) and she got a beautiful KP and only purchased a belt. So lucky… wish it was that easy

I think she might have spent more than just a belt to get the KP. She just mentioned she got the offer when she was buying a belt. I don’t believe that you can just spend a little amount to be offered such coveted bag. She might just didn’t tell us how much she spend, maybe for general public (Youtube/IG) to share such spending would sound ridiculous (I even sometimes find my spending ridiculous :giggle:)

It was kind of a weird story though as IMO when she said she thought about the belt for over a year, she was making it sound like she made no other purchases. But that’s not actually what she said so I could be wrong.

Leonie Hanne

It literally says „Anzeige“, which means „ad“

she linked Hermès in the video, tagged them again in the caption & hashtagged them twice

She attends their events in Paris & Dubai all the time (I am talking events that require to be invited & she posts letters that she receives from Hermès over and over again)

this is definetely a gifted bag

Even if she were collaborating with the florist she's have to list it as an ad.

Leonie explained in the past that she needs to put "anzeige" in every post, including those which are not paid partnerships or gifts from brands. It has something to do with the German law and the fact that some guy once made a complain about her and she had to pay a massive fine.

My SA shared that Hèrmes (specially in Paris) does facilitate bags to some influencers, but none is free.
She also went as far as saying that some of these influencers pretend they acquired the bags from store, when in reality they bought from second hand market...

yes, but honestly:

She is the German influencer, which is THE most valuable for brands (even before Pamela Reif, which is THE most succesful fitness influencer worldwide)

I know this because I am German myself and loads of magazines were publishing these scores

I just think she would NEVER make promotion like this for any brand for free

she owned Hermès bags before (even mini Kellys) - but only wore them in pictures and never wrote a single word about them, praising and „introducing“ them before

This is not "any brand", it is Hermès. And she is working with the brand (somehow), hence why she is invited to some events and to the show, so the "anzeige" makes sense.
Yes Leonie is huge, but that bag wasn't a freebie.

I'm not sure whether hermes does or does not gift bags or other things, but it seems to me like it would make a lot more sense for them to push any bag other than the Kelly and Birkin variations, such as the ones that have been sitting on the website for ages. There's no need to promote and gift Birkin and Kellys, influencers and resellers make videos about them anyways and they are all over instagram. Any other bag would make a lot more sense

Agree that influencers' stories and tales are highly embellished! I think the funniest one is je suis lou, who honestly expects us to believe she was magically just offered the 2 most covetable bag combos in a year (b25 in noir and b25 in gold) from the boutique "just because" with almost no pre-spend. Seriously? That's just plain rude and disrespectful to viewers. At hermes, that just doesn't happen - highly inclined to believe they're replicas because that's just the more believable thing. Occam's razor

I'm expecting in a couple of weeks/months she will magically be offered a mini Kelly with no pre-spend for views.
