Why would you say she got it for free?
i heard that no one gets any bag for free not even with a discount at H
its not like LV were coussin bags were gifted
it might have been easier for her to get a mini but mini Kelly despite being difficult to get aren’t considered as quota bags
some celebs use priveporter to source bags that mean that even if they’re celebrities they cannot always get the bag in the specs they want
Kelly Minis are quota bags.

'Influencers' are not celebrities and frankly if celebrities don't get gifted bags (I KNOW they don't)
I doubt some model, social media person would.
The influencers with some wealth probably buy theirs instore or via resellers or both.
The others?
Well you can rent a Birkin these days , or borrow one from a reseller for an unboxing and a name check (free advertising)
Or let us not forget the vast amount of fakes out there.

I don’t think hermes taps on influencers to advertise their products. I actually think its the other way haha influencers have to project an image of having great style/taste in things in order to get tapped by sponsorships and endorsements. So, influencers use hermes and the like as an investment to generate likes and followers. As for vloggers, it’s all about content and nothing beats unboxing something that not many have access to as it generates more viewers.

And also because hermes has beautiful products!

Can anyone give links to these influencer youtube channels? I cannot seem to follow social media enough to know who they are

I can't think of anything less significant in my life than to watch a stranger opening a box with a bag in it. Even beauty YouTubers are doing it, I am so turned off.

I guess it's good if there's no chance of seeing one IRL before ordering online - reseller or H, even then, such a gamble with an H bag.

Oh YES! YES! And Yes again!
My thoughts entirely!
I'd rather watch paint dry than see someone I dont know personally and have no interest in gushing over a handbag or some other perceived object of desire.
Enough already!

Like how? I'm genuinely curious because I haven't noticed.

I noticed when they were launching the nail polished that people of Instagram shared (before it was launched!) some nail polishes. In fact everyone shared the same colours. One of the colours never made it to Sweden and Denmark in the delivery to the store (it is said to arrive in December) so only influencers got it, all customers have to wait... I also think they invited some influencers for the opening of the Hermès in the Making exhibition in Copenhagen. These are just some examples.

Now I am curious to which colour that never made it to the store. I had hoped to view some of the light pinks/beige ones on my next visit the end of this month.

Take a look at Rose Baltique - it's my favourite (it did arrive)! I am pretty sure they have all colours in the store and "what you see is what you get" in terms of the different shades. The colour that hasn't arrived yet is Gris etoupe.

It's understandable that Hermès's PR firm reached out to some influencers for the beauty line as that is the dominant marketing channel for beauty now. It's also possible that a few influencers then had connections to buy bags.

I have seen so many fakes unboxed on YT, TT, Insta, at this point, though, that it's hardly worth the conversation. You will also notice that many influencers don't get super, super close to bag details. There is a reason for this. Finally, you don't see anyone unboxing from (insert name of superfake manufacturer here), but they sure do seem to do a roaring business, including everything from exotics to horseshoe stamps. Does anyone really think someone spends $2K on a fake B and ISN'T going to show it off?

The influencers receiving a generous box of the H lipsticks/nail polish really turned me off. But I guess part of the drive behind the H beauty line is to make the brand more accessible to the masses/younger generation maybe?
