No, you're not in trouble! People were just trying to point you toward information that may help you learn more about identifying Coach bags because any future purchases, because it can be confusing - and there are fakes out there!

Things were a little strange around here on Monday! As an April Fools joke the forum was given the format of a place where pirate's come discuss their loot! It fooled me for a minute, too; but it was all in fun!

It's sound like you did get a nice deal, you acquired clean, authentic bags that you really like at a very good price, so enjoy them!

Thank you! Honestly I’m having a hard time finding my way around here and learning what’s appropriate to say or post. I have learnt a lot from all of you that have a lot of knowledge in these areas. I don’t want to lose my place here. I have a lot of bags I have questions about and I thought I could post them here and learn. I will just keep reading and looking at all of the GORGEOUS bags people find at a great price! I really do appreciate you letting me know. 💕

You can post and don't worry about "losing your place"! You can't try to sell things here but you can certainly post pictures of bags and ask questions about them. If someone knows the answers they will try to advise you. The world of designer handbags is a complicated place; but it's fun!

I don't mean to suggest that you've tried to sell something; just that's an example of something that isn't okay to do in the discussion forum.

I don't think that you are wording your questions wrong, but you may be making some assumptions that are not quite correct, so other members step in to try to correct and inform you; but no harm is meant.

Give me an example of a question that you have about one of your bags? I will try to answer and if I can't then it is likely that some of the more expert members will be able to advise you.

Oh No, I know you wasn’t suggesting either of those things. The time a question hasn’t been answered I’m not sure I can even mention it. Ahhh. I was wanting to get some advice on cleaning.

I'm having difficulty finding what coach bag this is with the style number 1717. I've searched on eBay and Poshmark and the Internet with no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

As @ConnieinSeattle said, that isn't a style number in the creed. Bags made before 1994 have all numeric creed numbers that are random and unique and have no relation to the style. We need measurements to identify. It is most likely a classic pouch. It was made in the late 70s or 80s.
