I do like the ears. That is what I wanted, like the Tiffany's DBTY. I just feel they are a bit to large. It seems the Tiffany's version is more dainty.

I've attached neck shots.

i think this is gorgeous, but you know what's bothering more than the size of the diamond or the 'ears?' the chain. i don't think the chain is right for that pendant/design.

i honestly think the chain detracts from the overall setting and it just doesn't look as dainty as it could. maybe if you have a different chain—something smaller, but still strong—it would be beautiful and more to your liking. maybe that's what's bothering you.

i am attaching a pic of my black & white diamond white gold necklace so you can see the type of chain that i'm referring to. it's VERY strong, believe me.

Lovely, thanks for sharing.

This is mine. It is over a carat but that is all I know because my dad bought it when I was young to give me when I was older. I wear it on a basic box chain in yellow gold because that is what my mezuzah is (also a gift from my parents) and i never take either off. I waited a long time to get this diamond and it has great sentimental value.

Here's mine. My late grandmother gave me the diamond and I had it reset in a simple 5-prong setting. It's slightly less than 1 carat I think, last I checked with my jeweller it was around 0.9something. When I first received it from my grandmother, I thought it was such a ginormous stone. Now with DSS and poor eyesight that comes with age, I think it's a bit too small :p

this is absolutely stunning! so elegant. the fact that it was your grandmother's stone makes it that much more special.

i love it!

Thanks! Apparently the stone isn't very good quality, it's quite low in colour and clarity But since it was from my grandmother I won't ever part with it. I'm thinking of getting it reset again.

Your white/black diamond necklace is very pretty and unique too. Did you design it yourself?

I've always been a fan of the beaded chain. I actually own a necklace with that chain and I would switch it out however the pendant comes with a fixed chain.

I found a picture of the setting and chain I would like to reset my mother's stone in but can't decide btwn rose or yellow gold

Hi Ladies! Turning a .80 carat round brilliant into a pendant and trying to decide on the setting. My favourite is the Tiffany's one that fixes it on the chain at two sides... would love to see yours in action!

Here is one of mine. I personally don't like a delicate setting for a diamond solitaire. This is a heavy solid gold circle, about 3/4" wide, with a diamond set at the bottom. I think the diamond is 1.2 carat.
