What I am asking for a quote for is making a head like/similar the Michael B/LM, pic #1 & 2 and then sides/shank like pic #3.
KWIM?

EXACTLY.

Swanky.....yours is a ring dreams are made of.....stunning. This is going to be gorgeous once finished.

agreed! i can't wait to see the final product!

Tell me more LYM! I want to hear candid opinions, what did you not love?

You know.....at first I was a bit like LYM......I thought this setting was a tad "over-the-top" & too busy.

But having seen the styles you've tried on, and seeing the Michael B Paris on your finger.....I must admit, it's GORGEOUS. I really love it.

The Michael B Paris reminds me a lot of my setting but w/o the pave. What's not to love??

LYM......curious as to your thoughts as well.

Gotcha. IRL, it's a lot less OTT looking too I think. It's so delicate looking IRL and not blown up so it's smaller too :D lol!

Honestly, it's PERFECT.

The more I think about it, IF I ever decide to change mine, I think rather than "halo" it, I will pave the band/shank, girdle, and prongs.....make it my own little "Paris" creation!! It's really stolen my heart.

Awwwww
Now that I've thought about it, I really think us taking all these up close pics from every angle skews our perspective. When a ring that's under an inch in size in real life is blown up on our screens up to 10 times it DOES look OTT!
Trying it on it's very pretty, but not super busy. You can't see the beautiful pave'd basket or prongs from the top, it just looks like a super thin pave band.

Very true.

One thing I've found is no matter how professional the photography is, it never captures the real-life beauty of the piece.

Swanky, what's the band width of that Paris ring?? 2 mm?? or 1.8?

W/O looking it up, if it's even published{?} I'd have to guess 1.8. I was surprised how thin it was IRL, pleasantly surprised as nothing makes me happier than an uber-teeny band. I love the contrast between a nice sized stone and a very thin, delicate band.
