I do have to say, the thin bands look great on gals like Swank and Contessa because you have nice slender fingers! I have slightly chubby fingers and thinner bands just don't stand out that well. This was another reason I didn't quite go for the 2 Novos. I wonder if they have finger fat lipo....hmmm...:thinkin::thinkin::thinkin:

You know....I admire your sense of honesty. Your fingers aren't chubby....believe me....I've seen some pics around here where I don't know how those ladies are going to remove those rings!! Laser in ER??

Hey.....just think of it as the perfect excuse to get more metal/diamonds for your mileage!!!

Very true on the more metal/diamonds!! Now if only I can get the DF to go for it, life would be perfect!! I mentioned the word "reset" to him just a few minutes ago and I swear the man went white as a sheet! I had to tell him I was joking!!

I literally laughed out loud over the Laser in ER comment......:roflmfao::roflmfao:

Tell him, if he ever has a :heart: attack or anything that makes you stressed or worry, he'll have to make it up to you afterwards!!!

the band on the paris ring is actually 1.8mm, 3-row pave (not 5-row), so when you view the shank from table down you only see ONE row of pave, not a curve of pave rows. the 1.8mm was confirmed with the Michael B rep Stephanie i spoke to on the phone before my decision on my paris setting... however it may be a thicker shank as your diamond is larger. :p the best way to confirm is to call the Michael B customer service.

however i'm sure swanky is well informed and does not need me to be around at all to chime in ...

You can't see the beautiful pave'd basket or prongs from the top, it just looks like a super thin pave band.
I like that!

But I have a question. Micro pave settings are less durable than metal or standard pave rings. Melee diamonds might fall out. Especially you wear your e-ring all the time. You don't worry about that?

Swanky, at first I wasn't sure because I love how your current setting says (to me) "this diamond is so gorgeous it stands totally on it's own with nothing else going on."

The first pictures of the proposed setting seemed kind of OTT flashy, but now that I see the perspective, I like how it sets off the stone, and I think it will look great with your stackers.

Solomonbrothers.com does say 2mm :yes: That's where I got it. I wonder if it recently changed though? A lot of websites that shows pics don't have the pave on the basket or prongs{?}

I wanted to let you know Swanky that a friend of mine who was recently married has the Michael B Paris ring....it's gorgeous and her Fiance proposed to her in Paris on the Eiffel Tower!

Anyways.....one of her melee diamonds fell out & she had it repaired only to have another fall out a week later.

It's simply beautiful, but you really have to "baby" the ring in terms of catering to the pave......let's just say that it's a "high maintenance" ring from what I've read and heard

But lovely!
