Ame, that's a hang up for me. If I have one custom made - which it looks like I'll need to do, then it won't be able to have pave on the side that I want to stack on.
The one I tried on last week worked really well for this reason. The millgrain stood out just past the pave, so there wouldn't be rubbing:

Ya that one would work well against a band. The diamonds are up higher. Though I would say it would probably be smart to keep a band that has no exposed girdles next to it. i.e. not a shared prong.

ame: oh ya! I remember seeing her posts with the 5.5 carat ring, 5 carat earrings and 4 carat necklace...my eyes almost popped out of my head!! I love that setting:love:

I don't know. . . . I'll know more tomorrow. My jeweler has the Michael B Paris in for me to look at tomorrow, I'll update! Hopefully they'll allow me to snap a photo.

Love the Leon Mege ring!!! You just know you'll end up with a stunning show-stopper of a ring if you decide to go his route.

How about a thin spacer band in between??

And are you thinking of micropave on the girdle encircling the stone?

Leon's claws are TDF!!! My own jeweller would have had them made for me (I call them dragon claws), but then his sister told me that they'd be catching on everything & it would end up annoying me.

I still love it though.

Like the Michael B Paris ring too!!! See that one first. I think it may be a winner!

I do LOVE the bling on the basket/girdle! A little extra that you can't see from the top but I can enjoy when I'm driving and my hand is at the top of my wheel!

Swanky, love, love, love the Leon setting on the velvet display stick(?)! Since it seems you've narrowed down your likes to pave/micropave, have you looked at any designs by Danhov? DH recently surprised me with a beautiful split shank micropave setting for a diamond that he purchased locally. I'm not an "in the know" jewelry person and hadn't heard of this designer until this surprise but it might be worth checking out!! Good luck! :smile1:

It's gorgeous. Are you replacing a setting or getting another one?

Is that larger stone going in there...? I think I might have to steal this design if and when I get engaged.. :P
