So the prongs themselves have pave on them? I like it. I agree about it being classic enough that you will never tire of it. And with such a large center stone it can be hard to find something that doesn't take away from the oohs and ahhs and this seems like a perfect compliment to your diamond.

it's gorgeous, but will its elevation bother you? will it get in the way? if not, then go for it! it's an absolute stunner. i also love how the intricate design clearly will not compete with your gorgeous stone.

At first I thought the prongs looked a bit "heavy", but then again, your stone is substantial, so perhaps it will work nicely.
