Scarves How to Wear a 90cm Carre/Silk Twill Casually?

MYH - I was on a 90 ban for quite some time (nearly a year), and after playing with some new knots and trying out more graphic H designs, I still love the majority of my silks and found renewed interest in them again. My latest is a Grail silk I searched several years for. I first tried it on at the Festival Metier silk exhibit and I knew I would have a hard time finding it on the secondary market. I was so very happy to find it, and it was worth breaking my silk ban several times over for. Sometimes a design and colorway resonates so deeply within us that it makes the wearing of it so very special. A Honore really did make this one of her signature silks, as well as the La Femme design. I hope you can see wearing it with a Tee shirt is the best way of celebrating our love of wearing the silks casually!

Happy St. Pat's Day too to everyone!

Can you please share the name and CW of this style? I have another scarf by A Honore and I feel in love with this one as well! Thank you :smile1:

The scarf is Au Couer de la Vie. This particular lime green border scarf is the first issue from several years ago. You can find the same design on H.com but in the reissued color ways.

Here's my picture wearing carre casually . I have few 90cm silks but just cant wear them out for its way too formal look on me. My SA helped me out to wear in more casual way and it looked just perfect with my all white clothing. Only problem I have now is that I can't tie like that without help from other.

Skylover - I am swooning over your Fleurs d'Indienne. The knot looks fantastic. Ok, if you can't recreate it without the help of your SA, just leave the knot in place and hang the whole scarf on a hanger or doorknob. So the next time you want to wear it, just slip it on! That's my little silk hack for today.

You are genius. I actually never thought about it. I will try next time. Thank you for a tip!

Thank you! I actually own this scarf in the new reissued version, but I didn't recognize it in this CW. Can you please share what knot you have tied the scarf in? It looks so chic, but I'm not very good at knots!

I love how it flows and I've a hard time doing it myself when I try to tie sideways. This is a beautiful design and colorway over white.

This looks fantastic, what a beautiful scarf and the way you are wearing it is so casually elegant. Love your lace white top too - you must live somewhere nice and hot, here in the UK we are very far from white/summery clothes - still in jumpers here!

Hi, ladies! Like MYH I've been into using scarf ring when I wear my scarf in cowboy style. I use mors, I have already posted some mod pics to SOTD and 2015 spring thread. Today, I wore my Flamingo Party in this style. I took several mod pics today. It's fun to see the scarf shows the serial changes and it changes its own shape like cloud in the sky. I think this thread is the best place to share these pics. Thank you for letting me share.

This is stunning Cherryblossum! I just discovered this thread! You ladies are truly inspiring. I live in a warmer climate and it is now too hot for my CSGM's. I just purchased three 90 cm silks yesterday and will attempt to tie them thanks to this thread. Where to find the time. Ever since falling down the H rabbit hole I find it takes me a much longer time to get ready for the day but it is much more enjoyable! My other designer items are definitely feeling ignored and collecting dust. :)-

Hello all,

I was just looking for a knot that had been posted awhile ago. And, I thought it maybe great to revive this
Thread;). Maybe not only for casual looks...But, we could share how to's on our favorite knots etc.

GG8- seeing the convo happening on rainnedays thread, I think this is a great idea. I will try harder to post here when I'm wearing a 90cm. Also, I think this website is always worth revisiting. http://hymneauxcarres.blogspot.com This lady (maybe a PFer) does an amazing job of styling her 90cm scarves with casual outfits and looks so so chic.

Thank you for reviving this thread Greengoddess! now that the weather is cooler, I am excited to try new tying methods that actually involve closeness to the neck for the first time.

Great link MYH! I'll be using it, and you know why! :shame:

Thanks for reviving this, Greengoddess8! Haven't worn my 90s in about a year and can really use inspiration.
