There actually already was a thread on this that Jag created some time ago

I have merged these as well as several other for future reference.

Hope this helps :flowers:

I suggested creating one to Leanabee (or whatever it is written) a couple of weeks ago but no reply yet... Maybe we can create it ourselves....

Hi Ladies

Just wondering if anyone has a really good tip for cleaning chloe leather?

I have a pair of white flats and was unfortunate enough to get a black scuff on them (airport trolley wheel!). I can't say that I've tried too much yet, so all responses will be appreciated!

Thanks

Go to a leather shop and have it professionally cleaned. I was impatient, please do not do the same okay.

What does it mean? they can clean professionally your bag inside and outside???

Other question: how shall I use baby wipes? Have I to rub and wet the leather and then make it dry or shall I never wet it and only rub gently?
I think that baby wipes is not cleaning enough...

ok i got confused reading the thread...if color transfer from a dark jeans goes on a light colored paddy...what do u treat it with? CPR?

i understand the chloe leather is one of the easiest to clean..but i would like to get my facts straight before i purchase a light colored paddy

thanks!

An FYI on Mr Clean Magic Eraser. This is a cellulose type sponge, no cleaners of any kind involved. We use these on EVERYTHING in our house and in our car. These things are FABULOUS for almost any household chore.
I HAVE used Magic Eraser on an off-white Dior leather. Removed the dye transfer from jeans AND a small ink mark.
I would advise that anytime you try a new product on a bag use it first on part of the leather that is least visible (inside or on the bottom of the bag) until you see what the results will be.

Some posts here say first try the magic eraser DRY, and I would certainly try that first. RUB GENTLY.

If you are going to try using a WET Magic Eraser... there are some things to consider:
1. Use only a brand new CLEAN magic eraser.
2. RING THAT SUCKER OUT before you use it on the bag... you are using WATER and if you put too much water on leather, it will leave a water stain. Wet a corner, mash out the excess water, rub gently. This usually will darken the area, because you got it WET. So let it DRY before you determine if you need to try it again. Do not keep rubbing just because the area got darker. It needs to DRY.
3. WHAT'S IN YOUR WATER? Many places where there is a PUBLIC water system COMMONLY treat the public water system w/ flourides and with BLEACH. Don't use that water. I recommend using DISTILLED bottled water (not the same as drinking water).

Be careful. And do consider a professional service like lovinmybag when you have a serious issue. Better safe that sorry!

Cleaning BEIGE twill lining:

Received a Chloe bag w/ NASTY interior lining.... grease spots, make-up, dirt, black marks, food... filthy.
Used a DIY at home "dry cleaning kit". Brand was Custom Cleaner. Has directions inside box as to "spot cleaning".
I cut the dry cleaning sheet into smaller pieces, wet the sheet, turned the bag lining inside out and started gently scrubbing. Cleaned the entire lining.
Then hung the bag up w/ lining still hanging out and let it dry overnight.
There is still one slight red make-up/lipstick stain to address, but the rest of the lining cleaned up well.

CAUTION - to anyone who uses water to clean inside or outside of a handbag, please consider what is IN your water before using it. Many cities treat public water w/ bleach. You may wish to use bottled distilled water just to be on the safe side.

How do you clean grease in a Paddy tote? My tote is a lambskin purse. Someone today when I was in a party decided to touch it and I can see a little mark of grease on it. Do you know what can I do? I don't want to mess up my bag.
Thank you so much in advance

The only thing I can think of would be to try cornstartch - look at this thread here: http://forum.purseblog.com/balencia...range-tko-how-undarken-clean-your-198231.html

It removes grease from balenciaga handles, so it might work with Chloe? Give it a try and let us know how it goes!

Hi, I'm not sure if I have actually posted this message in the correct place but could you tell me whether you managed to sort your bag out inside and out? My friend purchased one recently (not from a shop) and the state of the inside is terrible, it just hasn't been looked after at all and would like to find a way of restoring it to looking somewhat like a half decent handbag...thanks
