Ladies I have a big problem. I really love chloe and but another Large Paraty in Nut in December. Now, I took it out yesterday and it was raining a bit, and now I have stains all over. It was only a little bit of rain and I immediately ran to my car. I am very careful with my bags and I am quite pissed that the paraty leather is so sensitive.
Any suggestions what to do now? How can I clean these water stains?

:(

If you didn't, at the time, you ideally should have just blotted the raindrops, ASAP, with a soft, dry, light-coloured cloth.

Then, you just have to leave them and hope they dry without leaving permanent watermarks (it can take weeks!).

If, after about 6 weeks, there are still marks, I've heard of people, very gently, pulling the leather around the marks with some success.

This is, apparently, because the dye may have gathered in the waterstained area and so, gently pulling at the leather can cause the dye to spread-out, a bit, again. :smile1:

I think this is very common with untreated leather, especially in brown and other neutral shades?

Personally, I wouldn't let it put me off the bag.

I did once ruin a clutch of mine, by waterstaining it, but I did that by cleaning the clasp and so, the watermarks are pretty serious and all in one place; but if it's just a more general sprinkling, from rain, it wouldn't bother me, as rain happens (especially in the UK!) and I'm sure it doesn't look too bad?

I have Chocolate uggs that spend most of their lives with rain marks!

Does anyone know how to get the smell of smoke out of leather? I just found an ebay steal on a paddy, and it absolutely stinks with smoke! (seller claims she doesn't smoke.) I've tried airing it and its somewhat better. Any ideas? I don't want to damage the leather, but there is no way I can carry it right now.
TIA!

hi guys! I recently bought a preowned Heloise wallet, but unfortunately it needs some major cleaning. The color on the outside is diff from the inside of the wallet due to wear and there are some dirty spots. Any recommendations of products or places to get this done? Do Chloe stores clean their products? THanks!!

Hi :) I clean my heloise bags with leather cleaner from lovin my bags. What colour is your wallet? Sometimes a deep conditioning can restore what looks as fading- and they have a shine restore which helps put that glaze finish back. Good luck

We use Cadillac boot & shoe care. This should moisturize the leather. If it's totally beat, I would take it to your local shoe repair to have it refurbished. =)
yea i was recommended this brand too. I wasn't sure if I should get that or their leather cleaner. Does the shoe and boot care do a good job of cleaning dirt and other stuff? Thanks!

my wallet is a periwinkle blue. There is some fading/discoloration. Hopefully it can be restored with a cleaner. Thanks for ur info!

The cleaner definitely gives the wallet a nice conditioning and does take out minor trouble spots. Your local shoe repair should have no problem restoring the original/close to the original color. Good luck!

I have had this black Marcie for about four years. I keep it stored in the dust bag. I have only used it about 10 times. I don't know why the handles look like this. Anyone else have this problem?ImageUploadedByPurseForum1433971361.044227.jpgImageUploadedByPurseForum1433971379.701098.jpg

so before I take out my new Marcie in nut. I'm wondering what products to use to prep her. Are there any Posts about how to clean or why products are safe to use? Any direction would be great.
Thanks!
