I feel your pain, I spilt a pint of beer over my buffalo Miu Miu messenger last year. It's really a horrible thing to happen. I let mine dry and now you'd hardly notice. However, i'm not sure how python skin reacts to moisture. Fingers crossed it'll dry out ok.

ACK!

Sorry to hear about that. I wouldn't ask for compensation though. This is one of the reasons I am actually sooo paranoid to take my python silverado to a lounge, bar, or a club. I think they could definitely fix the leather, but the python scales, i'm uncertain about.

Actually it seems like the python silverdo is pretty "sensitive" ?
I am actually a bit surprised, I do have python shoes and boots and especially the boots went thru a lot but still look great...?!

THAT SUCKS!!!! I would be devastated as you probably are now. I don't think asking your friend for compensation is the answer though. I would take it to another repair shop and get a second opinion. If multiple shops say the same thing, then that is probably the only way to go. Hang in there, sweetie. I totally feel for you.

Hi there,

I am also in Australia and just bought my first Chloe bag (large Betty tote) last week in Hong Kong. The colour is ginger. I am petrified about getting her dirty or wet as have had a bad experience previously on a Marc Jacobs (got caught in a massive downpour and ruined the bag), however the MJ was a lighter camel colour. Given the amount of $$ I spent on Betty I do not care how much the postage is to Australia - I will pay it to protect my investment.

Questions to the experts: Will the Apple leather conditioner darken the leather? Should I use both conditioner and water repellant spray afterwards, or would the water repellant spray on its own be sufficient?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Silicone and mink oil products are both bad for any leather: silicone prevents it from breathing and the oil darkens the leather.

The Vectra spray has been a marvelous and mild protector of my suede and leather jackets so I use it on my bags.

I think just keeping the leather clean though will really prolong the life of any handbag. Dirt and grime penetrate fibers and hides and over time ruin the integrity of any item.

Sadly its too expensive to ship apple products to AU, what do you think about this:

Ps. Is silicone good or bad for chloe bags?

Hi ladies,
I hope some of u can help me with this..

I got a very little stain in my taupe paddy..and I found it somewhat annoying, so I used the apple leather care to remove it, since I read in a thread that a lot of people use it and it works..
but instead of remove the stain, it just make the stain bigger!!:sweatdrop:

i don't know what should I do...:confused1::confused1:

I had an ink mark on my Betty and I decided to have it professionally cleaned. It came out completely. (I called Chloe at South Coast Plaza first, since they are close by, and they recommended a leather store in my area called Fac totum. It worked out great.) I figured that for how expensive these bags are, it's worth springing for a professional stain removal. It sounds like your stain is really small, though, so I'm not sure if it would be worth it. My cleaning cost $35.

There is a whole thread somewhere about cleaning Chloes. People have recommended baby wipes and the Magic Eraser for stains in the past. You may want to try this.

HTH!

wow..
i saw u live in south cal, luvmygirls0..in LA?
may I know the address of the place?

just in case:)

yeah, I saw a lot of people say about Magic Eraser, but i guess they also said that it would harass the bank or smthg, not really sure tho:smile1:
