Totally OT but Audrey what are they doing to your lovely twiggy, just curious..? I wish there was some reputable bag repairer in Europe too as they might be able to help with my yellowing bbag..?
It's my 04 Turquoise Twiggy. I bought her used and she had some darkened handles and color fading... So I sent her to LMB for some TLC! :shame: Hopefully she will return good as new!!!! I'm not sure about Bag repairs in Europe but the girls on the Balenciaga forum may know!

I'm very hesitant to use anything on my paddy but understand that it is leather and if I dont it may crack etc. Do these conditioners that you are talking about effect the color at all? Are any available in Australia? Thanks!

OMG hmwe46! Thanks so much for that tip on the oxyclean! You bag looks brand new!

bellacherie: I felt the same way about using anything on my bags, but it actually makes the leather feel even more luxurious and hydrated. The conditioners are totally safe for light colored bags (at least the Apple Products) and even lightly cleans as well as hydrating the leather. Not sure if available in Australia, but I'm sure you can find something comparable.

I use Wilson's leather protector/water repellant because I can get it at the mall. It works very well and didn't hurt the condition of the leather.

I own the conditioner but didn't use it on my Chloe (I would have - I just forgot.)

I ordered the apple leather care, how often do you use this on the paddy? I thought maybe once a year? Also does anyone know if you need to use leather care on kooba? Thanks!

This is a great topic! I just got my first Paddy (medium in Aubergine) today :yahoo: and am searching all posts for tips on taking good care of my new baby. I am going to order the Apple products and was wondering what the difference is between the rain and stain repellent and the leather protector? I'm thinking I'll put the conditioner on and then one of those two. Actually , now that I think about it, I know a great shoe repair place that could probably take care of it for me...not sure I trust it to anyone else yet, lol.

Great tips, I'll order the applecare immediately.
Rain is terribly common in Oregon too ;) and I've often rushed through the rain holding my coat over my bag much to the misfortune of my hair. But patent holds up wonderfully in the rain.

I definitely recommend Apple conditioner for your Chloe. You can use it on any leather and it will never stain it and will make it soft and supple and protect it from everything. It also works wonders on scuffs that are bound to happen to your bag.

I guess I'm going to kinda 'bump' my own question. Anyone know the difference between Apple leather protector and the rain and stain repellent? Which should I get for a metallic Paddy? TIA:flowers:
