How often do you rotate your bags?

I want to bump this thread with my own similar question. I have a rather substantial MK, Coach and Ralph Lauren bag collection that I love. But I have recently acquired a few LV pieces and I seem to be stuck on rotating them. I did just travel and use my MK travel tote but once I got there it was right back to the LV bags. So my question for other bagaholics is, should I retire the MK and Coach pieces?? I keep looking at them and I just LOVE each baby, they are each special in their own way and nobody looks the same. But they have been sitting quiet for a few months. I especially miss my MK Graysons which I worked so hard to find pre-loved in mint condition, but now they sit there! Anyone else do this? Put one designer on top? and for how long did you do it? :smile1:

I think that you should keep the other bags and wait a little before deciding to let them go. You say " I keep looking at them and I just love each baby".
At the moment you are into LV but in the future you might use your other pieces, even for one day or two each, and go back to LV .
That's more or less what we all do. Put a brand on top for a while and then carry our other bags.
Rotating is the key....;)

My dilemma too! Really turned off MK and wondering if I should get rid of my MK bags...thankfully not that many!

I think keep your other non LV bags for times when you don't want to carry an expensive bag. Like you said when you travel and don't want to have to worry about getting a super duper expensive bag dirty.

I have bags that I love but are too heavy or season specific so I can't use as much but I love them and keep them to pull out and use only once in a while. I also try to use my bags once a week. Once I organized the contents of my purses it made switching easier. I always leave a receipt in the bag so it reminds me when I used it last. I tend to use them at the same time each year, it's weird how that happens

I pick the bag I want to use and actually choose my outfit based around the bag. I know that sounds crazy and many people do it the other way around, but I love my handbag collection and when I want to use a certain bag, I make sure I dress to accommodate it!
+1 (I also check the weather prior to picking out a bag so I can determine if I should use saffiano or regular leather!)

I'm like others that pick their outfit the night before and decide on what bag I want to wear. Whenever I get a new bag though, I wear it almost every day for like a month without changing it. Now that I have a light weight cross body bag, I use that all weekend to run errands. I still have my first designer bag from when I graduated high school that my mom gets. Although, I haven't used it in years, I could never part with it. My dad also made me a bag tree a very long time ago that use to hang my bags. I can see them all and don't forget about any of them.

I switch bags Every Day! I have tried the whole pick clothes the night before but always change my mind. Beside that our weather changes hourly here!

I dont switch at the moment as my lvs are packed away due to my 3 los being 5,3,1. I use a few no name bags but i have worn lv to a movie night with dh:) and i felt happy!. i bought lv whilst i could buy at ok price! My first speedy 35 would cost $300 more now than i paid in nov 2011 and my is mif and perfect - used 3 times bI also bought my hg- le from 2009 as so hard to get .

Every two-three weeks is a rotation for me. If there is a special occasion, then I'll bring a bag out for the event, but stick to whatever bag is in rotation as much as possible.

I wear a different bag almost every day. The bag is a part of the outfit for me. I wear some bags to coordinate my "ootd" and like to wear a totally different color to "pop" the outfit at times. Today I wore a light gray pinstripe suit and a pink bag to pop the gray.

How often I change depends on what I'm doing, where I'm going, the weather, whether I need a crossbody or shoulder style, etc ... so it can be every day, a couple times a week or once a week. What I really need is some sort of purse organizer to make swapping contents in purses easier.

I pick my bags depending on the weather, my outfit, and how much I need to carry. I usually end up using the same 5-6 bags for the most part (out of over 20). I have some bags that I only use a few times a year due to being hard to match with most outfits, being very delicate, or just too big or small for most occasions. However they work so perfectly at certain times that I can't bear to part with them, and I love them :smile1:. I'm impressed by those of you that have a system to make sure they are all used! I feel guilty sometimes!
