9 total. Tho I will admit they dont get much use at the moment since I dont go places.

1 - down coat (most expensive by Cole Haan)
2 - wool coats (long and short)
2 - faux fur coats
1 - hooded raincoat
1 - leather jacket
1 - wool cape
1 - north face-esque style employer branded jacket

In Toronto you need to be prepared for all 4 seasons and everything in between (weather-wise and occasion):

1. MaxMara Manuela Coat Camel (oversized fit so goes well with thicker cashmere sweaters or over a blazer on -10 celsius or below days) originally purchased for the office
2. MaxMara Cashmere Lilia Coat (powder)
3. Max Mara Long black cashmere coat
4. Long Canada Goose Parka (for the truly cold days, cold days with snow, walking dogs)
5. Casual insulated technical jacket (for hiking in the winter)
6. Burberry Shearling - nicer coat for -10 celsius or below (can be worn over something light, like a tshirt or blouse)
7. More casual short puffer jacket (but still looks presentable)- dog walks
8. Harris Wharf London Long charcoal coat - one of my favourites for fall, amazing silhouette
9.Marc Jacobs Runway Grey wool/cashmere/silk jacket (this is lighter but works well with thick cashmere and a H shawl draped overtop)

Then there is the stuff for spring!!!!!!! I wish I lived somewhere weather is consistently warm!!!

I have 5 total: 2 down puffer coats( black, gray) , one rain coat (pale green) , one mink coat(navy/black) , one reversible (leopard/black) bonded poly coat.
I often wear heavy cardigans instead of coats but I didn't count those.

Let’s see...
Goose down Land’s End winter parka
J. Crew cobalt blue stadium cloth peacoat
Navy blue peacoat from Barney’s
Levi’s denim jacket (filled with down)
AllSaints leather jacket in oxblood
Land’s End black windbreaker
Barbour International waxed motorcycle jacket
Grey Columbia fleece jacket
Vintage Brooks Brothers camel peacoat
Burberry Kensington trench coat

I think that’s enough!

Woah some of you have a lot / too many coat :amazed: well here I go:

1 knee length beige trench coat from Sandro. (By far my favourite coat that I would always wear)Sandro_SHPMA00139-16_V_P.jpg

1 dark blue trench coat from Sandro.
1 black big winter coat for cold temperatures.
1 grey winter coat.
1 small windcoat/raincoat and sport jacket for when I go hiking ir any physical activity.

I would say my 2 trench coats are the coats I wear for stylish outfits while the others are more practical coat for bad weather

I have:
2 Black puffy coats (one coach, which is small and fitted and one prada which allows me to layer underneath)
1 beige puffy coat (aritzia)
1 black maxmara cashmere coat
1 gray aritzia cashmere coat

I should get rid of my small fitted coach coat but I like to wear it when I want to feel skinny. Haha! I don’t like my beige aritzia coat but it’s so warm. Thinking about dying it and bought dye but haven’t done it yet as it will be my first dye job. Anyone have experience dying clothes?

On my coat wish list is:
A raincoat with a hood
A navy cashmere coat

I want to buy an athletic style raincoat but those Burberry Kensingtons look so classic. I wish there was something in between (and always with a hood).

A Burberry Kensington looks so classic? What do you mean? But this is all what we like from a trench, a stylish and timeless coat that always looks good with any outfit. You can't go wrong go for it ;)

I have three, but I down-sized when I moved from a colder climate to a warm one. There's little to chance to wear these in Southern California where it just keeps getting warmer and warmer, but one day when I travel again I hope to take them on adventures:

Canada Goose parka - I love this one and it's utterly useless here but I will never part with it. It's black with no logo and makes a lovely silhouette while being incredibly warm.
Max Mara cashmere and fox trim cape - I bought the last one at Nordstrom after dreaming about it for a year and it's tdf.
A pale pink fast-fashion coat handed down to me by an acquaintance I had staying with me for a while. I had it tailored to fit and the pink is incredibly versatile.

I don't know if they count, but I also have two vintage mink stoles (both '50s I think):

Oleg Cassini tourmaline mink that I paid a pretty penny for
Robinson's California brown mink in exceptional condition that I picked up a few weeks ago for only $20!

Yes, by classic I mean timeless, beautiful, and can be worn with anything. I really like classic and gravitate toward that. But I do prefer a more simple design like a zip up. But maybe I just need both. Lol.

But the trench coat is all classic and timeless :amuse: go for it 'cause it will always enhance any of your outfits. I'm a trench coat lover so ...

And I personally think the double breasted version is more elegant and classic than a simple single breasted such as a mac. But have a look and try yourself and you'll see. But a trench coat is that kind of item we all should have in our closet and wear in our lifetime lol
