I just thought about it the other day when I thought about my x-mas present.
I have 9 designer bags now and just use even the half of it. For me 10 is going to be the magical number after that when a new one comes another one has to go.
There isn't one bag out there which I want to have right now and so I don't want a bag for x-mas and rather get a nice watch.
I do love all of my bags and I have to start to use them because some of them I just used 3-4 times. I experienced that I can't be bothered to change bags everyday so I'll try a weekly rotation program.
I love looking at those huge beautiful collections some of you have but I don't want a collection that's to big to use for myself because I get sick when I see what I spend on all my bags and some of them are more a decorations item than a thing is use. Therefor I won't buy more bags until I really used the ones I've got.
But IMO everyone has to decide for herself how big is too big or small.
for me 10 is the magic number as well!
I have current wishlist of 5 bags, but I’ve just reached 10 bags, so no vacancies.
I intend to gift one to my niece for her next birthday to make room for a new one..
Same here .I've definitely amassed way too many after nearly a decade of collecting handbags. Fortunately, I have a lot of closet space in my current apartment, but my ideal number is 10 (not including luggage pieces).
Same here .
Strangely enough, after 15 years of collecting bags, I'm mostly bored . So I'm about to radically downsize the collection . I am not missing anything and I am happy about more space in my bag closet
I find it absolutely relieving !
I will always have a cool bag that suits my needs
And one thing I've learned for sure: I don't like having too many bags, quite the opposite
It's amazing what phases you go through in life ...
But I still love bags and will definitely buy one again in the future
Congratulations! I recently performed a drastic downsizing myself, and I have to say I feel fantastic about it.Same here .

I am teetering on the edge of running out of storage room. The problem is, I'm hesitant to give any bags in my current collection up to make room for anything else. I wish I could be a minimalist, I really do. I read the books and resolve to simplify my life, and sometimes even succeed in purging some possessions, but the change never sticks. I think I'm just permanently in the "more is more" camp of life.
how many bags do you have.
Ugh boy. I don't want to admit this. Depending on what does and doesn't count, about 48. With another one on order, and four more I'm bidding on.In my defense, 1) most of them I bought secondhand through online marketplaces and thrift shops, and 2) even the ones bought new are not premiere brands. I would rather have a dozen less-expensive items in a variety of colors and designs than one pricey prestige piece I'd get bored with carrying over and over. When I try to be a frugal minimalist, it does not "spark joy."
