I like that IKEA Shelf. I store mine in dust bags in storage containers in my closet. I think I would need two of those cabinets just to store all my bags. I did an inventory photo yesterday and wooo...My hubby will probably freak out if he saw them all on display!!:nuts:

In dust bags, on shelves.

I've toyed with in dust bags in a cedar chest.
Is a cedar chest a good/bad/indifferent idea?

I have no desire to really display them, just want to keep them safe and sound.

my dad got extra shelf inserts made for me by his friend who makes furniture, because i needed more compartments and ikea does not sell the shelves separately for bonde. :yes:

I too store my bags in the dustbags and in the boxes if there is one. In most of them, I place one of those silica gel packs inside the box. I store/arranged the boxes together by brands (all Coach, LV, Burberry, Fendi etc together). The other bags that are msc brands (that I may only have one of) are arranged by colors. I pretty much know which bag is in what dustbag without having to label each one. Some of the smaller accessories are sometimes stored together in one box, with each one stored in its own dustbag.

I store mine in their dust bags in a plastic storage bin in a corner of our closet.

I don't specifically hide them from my DH, but I also try not to *advertise* exactly how many handbags I own. :whistle:

Besides, he gives me enough grief about my handbag addiction. :rolleyes:

What do silica gel packs do? I know what they are--I've never known their purpose. Thanks!

My bags are currently in their dust bags in 2 large decorative natural basket storage bins (which are lined with linen). I figure that this allows the leather to breath adequately while also protecting the bags from any light that might fade them over time.

I keep all of mine in their dustbags stored in coach gift boxes (or someother box if it's not big enough) and I label them so I know what's in there. I'm a little anal.....:blushing:
