I store mine in my closet in their own dustbags.

With all these coupons, my Zoe shopping frenzy and duplicate bags, I am in need for suggestions on "how to store and protect" my ever growing Coach collection.
  • What is the best way to store bags?
  • Is a clear plastic tote safe for leather?
  • Do you keep paper stuffing it them to retain shape?
  • Do you keep them in dust bags or pillow cases?
  • What do you do when you have little closet space?
  • Are there any storage tips how to store, protect and display collection?

I keep my bags stuffed and in their dustbags when not in use. I have a shelves in my closet that are dedicated to my bags. If I needed more space I would store them (in their dustbags) under my bed.

* What is the best way to store bags? In their dust bags somewhere where they can be exposed to air.
* Is a clear plastic tote safe for leather? No, leather can't breathe in plastic containers.
* Do you keep paper stuffing it them to retain shape? Yes, this retains their shape.
* Do you keep them in dust bags or pillow cases? Either is fine.
* What do you do when you have little closet space? Sell some bags. lol
* Are there any storage tips how to store, protect and display collection? I store mine on a shelf in my closet, all lined up in a row in their dust bags. I don't display mine, I don't want people to see how many bags I have.

Ok,
" Is a clear plastic tote safe for leather? No, leather can't breathe in plastic containers."
So if plastic containers aren't good and I have no closet space and don't want people to see how many bags I have, what do I do? I do keep paper in them and put them in their dust bags but I was running out of room, so I did buy a plastic tote to put them in!! Will they get dry and brittle from being in the tote?
Thanks,
Lynne :smile1:

I read on that thread stormi posted someone said not to store bags up on a high shelf in the closet because it's hotter up there & the leather will dry out faster. Most of my bags are stored on the high shelf. I can't move them down lower. Oh well, I'll just have to keep them moisturized. My closet does get kinda too warm sometimes living in the desert.

I keep my bags stuffed with paper, put in their own dustbag and stored in the Coach box on a shelf in my closet. Unfortunately, I don't have a large closet and am running out of space. I'm thinking of getting something that will slide under my bed that I can put all my bags in (minus the boxes). This way they can be easily accessible and still protected from the dust.

You could probably keep them in a plastic container if you poked or cut holes in them. Enough that they get good air flow, but not so much it looks like swiss cheese if you KWIM?

I keep mine stuffed and in their dustbags on my closet shelves. If they are leather, I lay them down on their sides. If you notice on the zoes, when you stand them upright, they kind of spread out on the bottom normally. I didn't want the leather to be like that a long time so that's why I lay them on their sides. I do not display them, nor would I want to. I have enough dust collectors, thank you very much :P My collection is still small, so it hasn't swallowed all of my closet yet.
