How do you afford your bags and how many per year? Credit debt or millionare lover?

I think your lifestyle can make all the difference. I'm an officer in the military...my pay alone is over six figures after benefits. I have no college loans for my undergrad, and the military paid for part of my masters....the rest was out of pocket. My husband and I both work, no kids, and no debt. This has allowed us to travel a significant amount.

I started with what I could afford. Juicy and Coach in college. Kate Spade afterwards...I can afford LV bags, but I keep it to a minimum. I like to travel so much....I feel selfish that one of my bags could be a weekend/international trip. When I do indulge, I pay with our United premiere card so we can get free miles for a trip. Actually, everything we pay for is used on a $20k cc. We use it as a primary and pay off the balance to zero every month. This gets us more rewards for free trips on things we buy on a daily basis.

Even with money aside, I find myself gravitating towards Kate Spade and other contemporary designers. I like the traditional LV design, but bright/fun bags are so appealing to me. My sister just got me the Disney Dooney and Bourke weekender with her cast discount. So much cheaper than my LV keep all, but I know I'm going to take that everywhere when I fly....it so much fun.

Bottom line is I will buy only what I can immediately afford.

My boyfriend spoils me with bags!!!
We have 4 kids between us, he works really hard and I look after the kids. We don't spend fortunes on going out, we both are non drinkers and smokers. He like watches and I like bags.

I'm very lucky but next year I'm going to try and save up and buy my own ps1 or chanel boy bag (wish wish) as I would feel bad if he bought me a £1000+ bag. Figure by summer I will have a new beauty. (Hope hope)

I have a constant rotation of items in my closet.
Whenever I tire of something, I consign it and put the proceeds towards something I want. (Usually a bag).
I unfortunately for my wallet, have developed a fondness for Chanel jewelry, and this is competing with the bags for attention.
Like the prior posters, I pay off credit card bills (and get points too!) in full every month.

I am "thrifty" because I like fashion and get bored easily. So I sell clothes and bags that I no longer wear on consignment. I like mid to high end brands but rarely buy anything full price, always wait for sales or scour evil bay (I am really careful about what I buy and always ask to get thing authenticated). I usually get 2-4 bags a year and never have more than 12.

Sometimes I get lucky - my Mulberry Alexa came from a friend of a friend who worked in the store so I paid employee pricing :)

I make a pretty decent living but do not buy anything I cannot afford - debit card only.

DH and I have decent paying jobs. We only have mortgages in terms of debt. Due to our working arrangements it's nearly impossible to both take holidays so it's one less expenditure for us. How do we afford it, save up for it. In our budget we have a savings for luxury items (since we can't really have a holiday fund).

I'm a 26 year old RN BSN working in an ICU stepdown unit.

No children only a boyfriend, so all the money I earn goes to me. And boy do I earn it, to many lives I've saved in my experience!

It takes me months to research and purchase my pieces. I love Burberry and prada!

Ill be 25 in a few weeks. I'm still in school. I work 7 days a week ranging from 8-10 hours a day. I'm currently leasing my parents bakery. We have our days when it's busy and we have our slow days. This year I purchased 6 bags and 2 wallets. One Burberry, a Coach, the other three were LVs. One Coach wallet and a LV wallet. I've been currently holding the business for a year. I'm not married but, I'm in a relationship with a guy who doesn't support my shopping habits. I work hard so I deserve it.

My fiance is the same, he likes watches and I like my purses. :)

Save save save for the bags i want from the boutiques. My husband also gives me bags for occassions :) plus, Lucky to have an in-law who sells pre owned bags from Japan! I get to pay in installment!

I'm in school, I work part-time, I've been literally saving every penny for more than two years, so now that I'm into designer stuff I wait for a really good sale. I use my credit card, but I pay it off every month because that way I get ******** on everything I buy.

I have a boyfriend, but he keeps me in check. And doesn't buy me bags, I wouldn't want anyone supporting my bad habits.

I hope that because I've learned to save a lot from my parents that I'm not going to throw that out the window. My tolerance may go up for prices, but it's very likely I'll still keep holding out for that 60% off sale :)
