How do you afford your bags and how many per year? Credit debt or millionare lover?

It depends on how much the bag is. Me and DH are both engineers with average salary, I can only buy a luxury bag like LV, Balenciaga (which I'm addicted to) once in two years from our extra money. For the more affordable like longchamp le pliage or a simple Coach purse I can buy instantly whenever I like it but that is still not frequent coz I buy it if I really really loves it and really really needs it ❤

I'm 18 and not living with my parents anymore, no job (.. searching though!).. But my parents pay for almost everything. My first "really expensive" bag was a D&G tote which i got when i turned 15. Nowadays i try my best to spare my money. I'm really thankful to my parents who are ready to support me :-)

I work hard to treat myself every so often. Especially when my birthday comes around lol no credit card debt either. Also, sometimes mother gives me some of her Louis Vuitton purses she loses interest in as well as my boyfriend who has a well paying job, sometimes buys me some Gucci bags.

im a full time student and am fortunate enough to work at a high end designer label which pays me very well (in comparison to other retails jobs). My parents don't pay for any of my fashion purchases, they just provide a roof over my head.
Most of the money i earn goes towards shopping, eating out or travelling and also some (very little at the moment) saving.

i save up for a few months to purchase any high end designer pieces and i always like to spoil myself with something after the Christmas period (working 45 hours weeks!).

I sadly like higher end handbag designers though but when I fork out the money to buy a beautiful bag I have been lusting over, its such satisfaction!

I'm 19 and I'm a full-time student. My parents's earning are a bit below average, I have to pay my phone bills, food at school, dental stuff (cavities etc.), bus pass, travelling, etc. Well, pretty much everything except my roof, half of my studies, and the food I have at home. I work part-time in a grocery store. I don't have a rich boyfriend. And I'm spending a lot on clothes, fashion, etc. (about.. 5000-6000$ this year I think and i'm not done yet). And yeah I'm charging a lot of stuff on my credit card.

Work. I've had a job since I was 15, and before that, I babysat. To buy anything, I budget, plan carefully, hunt for the right, well-priced item, and pay cash. No credit cards in three years; in fact, I'm paying that down from when I was married and thought fashion would fix a big mess.

I know a question similar to this must of been posted before, but i'm really curious how you ladies afford your purses? good jobs, monthly payments on credit cards, rich husband/boyfriend......lol

Myself personally have a pretty well paying job and my husband and I don't have kids and we don't have a mortgage or pay for the cars. (all paid off)
I could never sponge off some guy for money, clothes , shoes or handbags.I work I have a pretty good job my boyfriend does too.

I am married with no kids and we both make decent money. I am frugal about everything but handbags so since I don't eat out or shop much I can spend my money on handbags. I only buy handbags that I will use and don't just let it sit there collecting dust. How I see it is that handbags get carried a lot so I will get my moneys worth vs having a bunch of jewelry or tons of fancy clothes or shoes that I don't get much use out of.

Hello ladies~

I feel a little ashamed because of how spoiled I just realized I am....
I'm a currently a dental school student (my parents have paid for all of my private school education starting from high school)

They basically pay for everything....school, food, living expenses, clothes, bags, and everything else. They won't let me work until I graduate school because they would rather have me focus on my studies and pay them back once I'm graduated, settled down, and making money...I'm in the process of convincing them to let me work this summer for some money that I won't feel embarrassed/guilty spending...

if only we can all have that previlage.

I work I have a pretty good job my boyfriend does too.I look at women who are golddiggers and think to myself why dont you just go to college get an education and a career and be rich yourself instead of sucking off some old guy for money all the time ?

To me I like being independent I dont like begging boyfriends for anything.I know a girl who had her boyfriend pay for her boob job and she went on her blog and bragged about how much money it costed him thats just sad to me.She constantly brags about material things and how much this and that costs yet she lives with mommy and daddy and has her parents and ex boyfriends/ boyfriends pay for everything for her lol to me that just makes her look so stupid.Shes 23 years old and completely dependent on others for money. She has this blog where she talks about all the procedures she has had done which include a brow lift, botox , lip injections , two boob jobs, and a nose job yet she has no money lol its just so dumb. She makes fun of people who dont buy designer shoes or handbags yet she cant afford them herself the whole thing is just plain crazy.

I'm 23 and a recent college graduate. I have a good job in IT which allows me to continue my shopping habit and splurge for a designer handbag a few times a year. However, I keep a very detailed budget to make sure that I am saving way more than I am spending. I have also become quite picky since my parents are not picking up the tab anymore. I pay for all of my handbags using a credit card (to get points), which I pay off at the end of each month.

Prior to graduating, throughout college, I had paid internships which gave me the funds. My parents were also quite generous and helped to fund some of my purchases.

This is very much me also. I just got out of that credit card mess 2 years ago--never again! I've also been working since age 15, I'm divorced, work full time as a nurse. I budget and shop for everything carefully. I have a couple of weeks of vacation time that I didn't use this year that I can buy back next month so yay for me; I will treat myself to something special and stash the rest away for some unforseen household expensive that comes along...

I'm not nearly as into clothes as I used to be. I was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple years ago and had a mastectomy and can't wear stuff that I once wore. You would call my fashion statement "Michael Kors" as I wear either a white t shirt or a black t shirt and Levi's everyday. (You ever notice that MK never wears anything but black or white t shirts?) You think I would save some money this way. HA. My fashion is in my accessories. I love belts, bags, shoes/boots, jewelry, sunglasses.

I am engineer and I work as a project manager in the chemical industry. I have amassed a pretty good amount of savings over the past few years. Because I am relatively new to the bag addiction, I have probably spent somewhere between 30 and 40k in the past 2 years, but I plan to slow that down considerably since I have a rarely decent-sized collection now, I started with coach, MK, and mbmj, and then moved on to LV, Gucci, and Hermes. I am so thankful for the contributions of the people on this forum and everything I have learned. I have saved myself a lot of time, money, and headaches.
