My k25 black swift with ghw is definitely one of my most used bags, especially for travel!

Here are photos from Dec 2016 when I first purchased it:

Here’s a photo I just took for this post (March 2020):

Compared to swift from other years, I think it has held its shape quite well considering I don’t store it in a special way. I also have the tendency of overstuffing my bag when I travel.
For reference: K25 (2016), B25 cactus (2019), B25 RS (2020)

Lastly, this is my friend’s vert vertigo k25 (2019). As you can see, her k is more structured than mine ever was.

Overall, I feel that that my swift leather varies by year. Since you’re looking for a non-slouchy swift Kelly, this would be the perfect time to get it! My swift bags 2019 and onward are definitely more structured and matte. 2016 swift is shinier and feels thinner/softer (not sure if that’s truly the case). I don’t baby my bags, I overstuff them at times, and I don’t use airbags when storing. Being the worst case scenario that I am, I highly recommend a swift k25 because I personally feel like mine has retained its shape

HTH!!!
Omg sooo much eye candy!!! Love you collection of neutrals. What is the leather on the black SO? it looks so shiny!!

HTH!!!

I have the same specs in swift K25, I can also vouch that it does not lose its shape, and I don’t baby it. Compare the slightly softened sides to the K25 in a firmer leather. The swift is not droopy, just less structured.

Thank you both so much - this is so helpful!

That could happen to any light coloured leather bag, it's dirt as well as corner wear. You can see some of it just needs a clean. It's just been well loved and used without too much thought. The rest of the bag doesn't seem too bad.

I get so frustrated with people who don't like/want Swift worrying about buying it. If thick grains or stamped leather are more your thing best to go that way.

I own a swift B30 in Gris Perle, bought in Jan 2017 and she still looks brand new.
The leather is divine and sturdy, hasn't lost it shape at all even after 3 years, I must confess though, that I keep this one constantly stored in it's box and I currently don't have enough space to display it alongside my other bags... and among all of my B's this special one, is the one that I wear less, because if afraid of colour transfers... none the less, I only recommend swift!

Thanks for your reply.I just received my first swift birkin and want to know more about the leather. It makes me feel better to know the marks on the bag are just dirts, that means if I send this bag back to hermes and do a spa, those dirts will be easily cleaned.I think this probably the reason why people think swift leather are fragile, these dirts looks just like abrasion marks.

There is obviously some deep abrasion too but my guess is it will look a lot better once cleaned Spa-d.

My Swift bags are 2008 & 2014, both regularly used and have a little corner wear but not too bad. Iccertainly don't baby (one of them is for travel which is always more hard on a bag). I think like any leather/bag it depends on how and how much a bag is used.

I have a swift K32 from 2007. It is in good shape, but is getting a little puddly! I don't mind that though, makes it easier to get in/out when it's so soft. As far as scratches, she doesn't have too many, and I don't baby her either. I did just send her to spa to moisturize, and a little corner wear, and she came back like new! And I also love how swift takes color!

My other swift bags are a bolide 27, and a lindy 26. Also no issues with those. I rotate between these pretty often! I'm a fan of this leather for sure, haha!

@Tonimichelle, we are twins on color! Mine is also Turquoise! Which I thought would be a hard color to wear, but she really goes with everything!! Yours is gorgeous!
Hi 1gunro could you post a pic of your turquoise K32 if you have time please? I’d love to see it and need all the bag distractions I can get at the moment!

Gorgeous - thanks!

No abrasions on my 13 year old B30, despite being rubbed against jeans for long periods, stuffed under an airplane seat and carried in the rain on occasion. She’s also been trapped in a broken suitcase (but we won’t go into that!). The only thing I do notice in comparison to a much newer swift belt strap is that the leather becomes smoother over time. There are a few scratches but they look like very slightly darker lines on mine and can only be seen very slightly when angled the right way into the light.
Would you be willing to post a photo of your aged B30? I'd love to see what swift looks like over this much time in a B!
