I ended up choosing to dip dye 3 scarves blue and 1 pink. Really wanted something purple so I ended with a Jardin Anglais . The SA checking me out mentioned that I could reserve (prepay) any display scarf and they would be made available after the pop shop closes.

your purple jardin anglais is beautiful!! I kept looking for a purple one but couldn't find one, you must've got the last one[emoji6] so I ended up with a fuchsia one instead:(

aww man, I'm sorry. Initially, the SA missed it when going through the 'extras' box. I quickly scanned it after her and found it lol.
The fuchsia one was lovely tho but I totally understand your disappointment

I had a lovely Dip Dye experience this morning with a patient and thorough staff. It wasn't busy, however, so your mileage may vary! Some tidbits:

The consultants (3 when I was there) are freelance textile pros, all grads of SCAD, I believe, and are extremely knowledgeable about what the dyes will do to your scarf. Once you decide, your scarf is inspected, info noted and photographed. It is helpful to them for you to have your name/address/scarf name already prepared. I used notecards.

The scarves are washed before dip dyeing. 2 day lead time for pick up. If you can't make it back, they will be held at Madison for you. If you ask nicely :amuse: they might arrange to ship it.

The scarves on display are not for sale. I fell in love with one but there were no duplicates. The SA (different from the consultants) said she'd send it to me on Sunday if it were still there. Didn't understand that, but whatever! It's H!

The scarves in the cases are for sale and I was surprised to see several designs going waaaaay waaaay decades back. She said they had all come from Paris. I spied a gorgeous green Les Amazones!!! All scarves are 395.

Best of all, there was no restriction on the number of scarves to dye!!!! I went loaded up with 8 and left 7 behind. One didn't make the cut because she didn't think the colors would do well and I was prepared for that...too much brown.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any qs.
Thanks for all these details. Now I can't wait to see your results!

I went yesterday and bought this pre-dyed fuschia Les Amoureux de Paris (I was the one whose moussie they turned down [emoji30]).

I love the way the dye makes features of the print stand out that get lost in the original, like the houses and silhouettes. And the way the dye simplifies the print (I find the original too busy and overwhelming). Even though I don't usually wear 90's, I just couldn't resist this one! [emoji178][emoji178][emoji178]

This is wonderful too, and living up to your name, like a signature scarf  . You may get lost in love but you'll never get lost in Paris
