That's stunning! Good contrast in the original pattern helps a lot.

I know! Why couldn't they do this in Boston? Or better yet, offer it as a service in every boutique, the way you used to be able to send a scarf out to be plisse'd. Not sure if they still plisse scarves, but I'd love to be able to send a scarf out and have it come back a week or two later as a dip dye. Sigh.

Fireworks and purple Flamingo Party are both dip dye. I didn't have the heart to dip dye the vibrant Collections Imperiales.

The Lalbhai is such a beautiful piece that my advice would be to resist the colourwash!
However I'm of faint heart and chronically indecisive.
After all if you seldom wear it because of the colours , go for it.

If you don't know, I would say don't do it. I think it's a lovely cw as it is

You're both right. I love this scarf. I don't wear it often but I do love it.

Oh by the way, they will only do the 90s and 140s - no other sizes or formats.

So I went in today is well and I dropped off my blue and white Dans les Branches de l'Ombu. My advisor suggested the pink dye so I'm very interested to see how it turns out. Sadly they wouldn't DD my Twillies.

I didn't buy anything as a lady was looking at a scarf I immediately fell in love with and of course she bought it. They have duplicates but not of that design. When I go back to pick up my Branches on Friday I'll see if they have anything else that tempts. Suzie from Madison said that if she finds another of that scarf she'll hold it for me.

I do wish I had a GM silk to dye, all I have is this Lalbhai and I don't know if I want to dye it. What do you all think???

Restricter the FP is gorgeous. I didn't even see that one! I found the violet scarves to be beautiful but the designs were very hard to see.

I love the dip dyes, and what I've seen so far, but I personally would not do this one.

Really? The lady next to me asked and she was told 90s and 140s only. They refused my Twillies and someone else's mousseline.

I'm thinking now of being REALLY brave and doing my Battery Park scarf. I am finding the greens difficult with my coloring and the colors are pretty but a bit too pale for me. If I did that one, it would certainly be one of a kind!

BBC, did you inquire how the finished scarves will be returned to those of us who can't revisit the pop-up?
You know, I had thought of doing the Battery Park scarf, too, but I think the palette will work for me. . . I have to play with it a bit. I have found two 90s that are dreadful on me (why I have them I do not know) and one 140 that I don't love, so I think I have my trio of future dip dyes. . . .
